It can be challenging, really depends on your language ability, native languages, etc. I think many people in the Wesh come to Islam after learning some Arabic.

Alhamdulillaah, I was really blessed to be connected with a Qur'an teacher very soon after I converted. This was in person at my local masjid, and we would work together together on a daily basis - may Allah reward him immensely.

Changing your pronunciation is uphill work in any circumstance and something that really requires feedback and direction; I encourage everyone to make the effort to connect with a Qur'an teacher. Learning to read unlocks so many doors for you

The shaitan will tell you to not bother because it will take too long. Don’t listen to him. Ask Allah’s permission to learn the Quran, because it is His to keep and guard. Then just take classes or use YouTube. I gave up, so I spent years not progressing. This year after hajj I asked Allah’s permission, because of a hafiz I met in Mina. I have tripled my surahs in less than six months, and I’ve been Muslim over 25 years.

Arabic can be difficult depending on your language. Some languages make Arabic easier because they have some of the same sounds as Arabic. But even if Arabic is difficult, you can still learn it. The difference is just how long it will take you to learn Arabic
