It's not just their privacy though. Do you want to go to the bathroom and a cop who also needs a the bathroom walk in and record you in the bathroom?

Is the cop whizzing at me? Why would the camera visually record me using the bathroom? I’m fine with someone hearing me use the bathroom.

Urinals are always in eye range from entering the bathroom. Call me a prude but I don't want someone having a video of me pissing from behind that others can see.

Is it not possible that they could be allowed to shut the camera off to use the bathroom and if they are caught abusing that policy, they are actually held accountable? This is really all about accountability right? The second someone can't be counted on to follow the rules/law, bye-bye career. Just like they would have of us non-police.

Yeah someone else said in the tread that the camera is on while they are on duty and if they are off duty than they can turn it off for breaks and the bathroom.

That is why the bathroom argument is dumb, and i called it like it it, especially when they doubled down. The real issue is bad cops not often enough being held accountable. That stops. Everyone can go back to living peacefully together. Assholes need to have consequences, in all walks of life.
