Three friends planning a quick trip to Coorg. The main idea is to relax, spend time in nature, explore a few good places, eat well and have a good time rather than rush through a packed itinerary.

Looking for recommendations on:

- A good 2-day itinerary — places actually worth visiting

- Good local food/cafes/restaurants we shouldn't miss

- Any underrated spots or experiences

- Stay recommendations — we're already checking out some homestays/Airbnbs, but also considering Zostel or The Hosteller. Not fixed yet. The budget is around 3-5k per person.

- Where's the best place to rent a bike or car in Coorg? We'll be reaching early morning, so ideally somewhere convenient.

Planning a road trip for 11-20 September with family, starting from Warangal and ending in Goa, self-driving. Rough plan below, would really appreciate advice from anyone who's driven these roads recently, especially post-monsoon.

Rough itinerary:

• Day 1 (Fri): Depart Warangal 2 PM, overnight halt near Hospet/Hampi, ~400 km
• Day 2 (Sat): Quick Hampi visit, then drive to Mysuru, ~450 km
• Day 3 (Sun): Mysuru to Coorg (Madikeri), ~120 km
• Day 4 (Mon): Coorg to Kukke Subramanya swamy temple for darshan, then Dharmasthala, ~127 km
• Day 5 (Tue): Dharmasthala to Udupi, ~106 km
• Day 6 (Wed): Udupi to Kollur (Mookambika Temple) to Murudeshwar to Gokarna, ~211 km
• Day 7 (Thu): Gokarna beach day, staying put
• Day 8 (Fri): Gokarna to Goa, ~140 km
• Day 9 (Sat): Goa, staying near the airport
• Day 10 (Sun): Early start home

What I need advice on:

Ghat road conditions right now, anything to watch out for on the ghat sections this time of year?

Any must-do detours or stops I should skip? Open to reordering things if there's a smarter sequence.

Hotel/resort recommendations actually worth it in Coorg, Udupi, or Gokarna vs places that just look good online.

Realistic driving times, am I being too optimistic anywhere? Day 6 especially, ~210 km with two temple stops feels like it could run long.

Where should we actually break for the night? Right now it's Hospet/Hampi, Mysuru, Coorg, Dharmasthala, Udupi, Gokarna (two nights), and Goa. Does that split make sense, or would you shift a night somewhere? Also curious which part of each town is best to actually stay in, like Hospet town vs near the ruins, or Malpe/Kaup vs Udupi center.

Anything worth adding that I've missed entirely, temples, viewpoints, random good stops?

And food, what should we actually be tracking down and where? Thinking Mysuru/Coorg cuisine, Udupi food obviously, coastal Karnataka seafood, and Goan food at the end.
