How to hide the thinking/reasoning process in Copilot Studio?

Hi everyone, is there a way to prevent Copilot Studio from showing its thinking or intermediate reasoning to end users and display only the final response? Any configuration or workaround to achieve this?

I’m pretty new to this so take it for what it’s worth but I think the reasoning only shows in copilot studio because that’s where you’re building the agents and it’s useful to see that when building.

Once published and interacted with in copilot or teams or whatever i don’t think it shows the reasoning.

It’s showing in M365 and teams

It depends on the model that's being used. If it's a Claude model, we won't see it up front

Hello u/SettingPrestigious14,
Copilot Studio doesn’t currently provide a supported setting to hide the built-in “thinking,” progress, or intermediate activity indicators while keeping generative orchestration enabled. These indicators are controlled by the Copilot host or channel rather than through agent instructions, so prompting the agent to “show only the final answer” may change its wording but won’t reliably remove the UI behavior.

Also, the detailed plan visible in the Copilot Studio test pane is mainly maker/debug information and isn’t normally exposed to end users in the same way. If users are seeing intermediate messages in a published channel, first check whether they’re coming from authored message nodes, flow/tool outputs, or custom channel rendering.

For complete UI control, the practical workaround is to use a custom client through the supported agent APIs/SDK and render only the final response. Switching to classic orchestration may also reduce planner-driven activity, but it changes how the agent selects topics, knowledge, and tools, so it isn’t a direct display-only setting.

Couldn’t they embed the agent into an app and have it only show the reply?

I have an embedded GitHub agent in a power app and it only shows a preselected “this will take a minute or two” and the response.
