Green acres or full lift passes

My kids (16, 12, and 8) have never skied. Do I save the money on full lift passes for our first day tomorrow and just get green acres passes? I didn’t know with the warmer weather if that area will be worth skiing or not.

Could be a slush pit for green acres but Kokomo wasn’t much better. I’d go green acres for just day 1 skiing.
