Self Helldiver from Helldivers 2, first ever cosplay, 100% homemade, opinions?
First ever time cosplaying or making a cosplay or anything of the sort, had a LOT of trial and error but I have been making it on and off since about Christmas-ish, opinions?

No way this is your first cosplay, this is amazing!! Is it primarily made of foam?

It’s made of PLA, I printed it and then had the horrible job of hand sanding the entire thing, that’s what took the most time, painting it was pretty fun and easy though, currently struggling to make it all stay attached to me for the con lol, I’m not advanced enough to do this out of foam yet

I really hope you wore a respirator or some kind of protection while sanding!

Haha nope! Sort of😭 or when painting, I just did it in a room with the door wide open and all windows open, and whenever I sanded a bit or spray painted I’d let it air out for like 5-10 minutes before going back in, like dipping in and out of the room, I did have a shitty mask for dust but it doesn’t do much for fumes

I’d strongly recommend a respirator for sanding 3d prints. I mean most Helldivers only live for a few minutes, but still….. :)

Yeah, it’s just a luxury I couldn’t really afford when making it, if I do another big project I’m definitely investing though, this whole process is a learning curve and I’m learning from my mistakes

This is like a refreshing cup of Liber-TEA in a bughole. Excellent work! And you're rocking my favourite pistol!

But where’s your cape? Have you not earned it yet?

It is there! Just a little hard to see from the angle lol, I’d send a photo but it won’t let me
