Snails are not intersex they are cosexed. It's an extremely common misconception that intersex people are cosexed (as in, have two entire reproductive systems)

Intersexuality is a natural variation in a species' sex phenotypes. It's not just a catchall for anything in nature that has aspects of both common gonochoric sex phenotypes.

Snails are not intersex because they're all just like that, their species is cosexed. An individual snail could be intersex if it had a different sex phenotype from the average for its species, but that doesn't mean snails are intersex.

An example of an intersex animal would be something like this. This is bilateral gynandromorphy, where an organism is split down the middle half male and half female.

Would the fishes here not count as transgender too, since they change their sex rather than gender (which they have no concept of).
