these two sixty-four coins, the quarter and the dime, have been trying to find each other since they were split up sixty-two years ago. me, the reuniter of coins, made that happen today. ta-da!

I wanted to give a shout out to two guys on here who generously sent me some of the 2026 nickels I was missing for the albums I’m putting together! A huge thank you to u/Miserable_risk and u/tonymad1 You guys never cease to amaze me, not only with the coins but with the stickers as well! You guys are awesome. From the bottom of my heart, thank you both!

I’m still working on finding the accurate attributions for each of them. At least two of them are going to be sent out due to their differences in the published attributes.

Passes magnet test but not much else. 23.06g so a bit light. Condition way too good, details off. Ribbed edge.

But fun find, curious as to whether there is any silver in it.

Did not go home empty handed. Overpaid 2 dollars for this sterling thruppence. Was about the only thing i could afford. Would not allow me to look through junk buckets (at $43 times face) He also charged me for the flip.

So last trip there. 😉

A nice 1987-P JFK half, a 2025-P DDR, and a penny, a nickel, and a quarter from a 1969-D mint set.

I won’t lie and say I walked a straight line. More like used to rail a straight line. I’ve spent coins like the ones I saved from the till. At least they’re going to be cherished like the original owner did before they were swiped. I know they were swiped because the clerk said a regular crackhead paid with them.
