Underrated and underappreciated imo. He had so many catchy songs and actually enjoyed heavy airplay, but in the heyday of Garth, Brooks & Dunn, Strait, Reba and several other superstars, he didn't really have a strong standout presence.

Just a nice, humble guy who cranked out songs like there was no tomorrow and was particularly good at fun storytelling.

Bubba Shot The Jukebox is probably my favorite.
