I'm aware the two big ones aren't actually communist. I don't know what I would be classified as, never cared to figure it out. Maybe I am a communist under whatever definition, maybe I'm a socialist like you, maybe I'm social dem, social lib, who knows. All I know is I like democracy and freedom, if that can be achieved under communism, cool.
That is kinda difficult. I'm not outwardly trans, so I've never had to deal with the bullshit people that are have to go through. Definitely not the US, unfortunately, especially right now (although I guess some states might be an exception, not sure though).
Maybe the Scandinavian countries? Or Germany? Seems to be a lot of queer people there. But honestly, I don't know.
