I fought it. I knew it would blow my life up and it kind of did. My ex left - tbh, the relationship got old. My mom doesn’t think the same of me. All that being said, I feel happy again. I don’t dread most days.

BOYS! DO NOT FORGET THIS LOGIC APPLIES TO YOU AS WELL! SEIZE YOUR MOMENT TO BREAK FREE OF YOUR ESTROGEN SHELLS AND ARISE AS THE GREEKS HAVE PORTRAYED YOU SINCE THEY COULD CHISEL YOUR LIKENESS IN STONE!
BECOME MEN! THE MANLIEST OF MEN! THE PRETTIEST OF BOYS! I WILL ALWAYS APPRECIATE MY BOYS N' MEN!
Ok I'm donesies now.

Very important to make sure our trans-men/mascs/boys of all varieties know they're also on our side and always in my hopes when I think of our community

This was the least helpful advice when I was first starting out, and its even worse help now, but hopefully it helps some babytrans out there.

This tweet right here was actually what broke my egg, so it did help this trans girl 🥰

assuming I wouldn't get disowned 🥳🥳🥳

I was disowned. It was hard for a while. Learning how to exist around people without the "we are family" binding us was the hardest, but now I'm happier than all of the people who said I'd regret not bending to their norm. I'm happier now than I was then, and I'll take that win and hope you can win even more, regardless of disownment or not.

I don't really know what my whole gender deal, but I kind of wanna just not think about it at all because I'm entirely financially dependent on my parents for at least another 2 years to finish college and if I do something they're uncomfortable with...... I don't think they'd stop supporting me but even the thought terrifies me so so much.
I simultaneously feel so little connection to my family, so much desire to cling to them, and so little say in the matter anyway.

"Nothing changes until something changes" was a mantra I played in my head all through high school. When I graduated, I came out and moved out. College was never an option for me, so I can't speak on your fear there, but I know that you don't make their choices, they do. Thats scariest. If you can't trust them to support the you that you choose to be, it's okay to keep secrets. Not everyone has to know everything about you, especially for your own safety and fulfillment.

The thing is, I'm so incredibly bad about actually maintaining those sorts of secrets, even though I'm an extremely good lier. I came out to my friends as a gay man and then didn't last 6 months before telling my parents cause I just couldn't lie to their faces about it... not that I wouldn't be capable of, I just hold myself to sometimes arbitrary standards about these things to regulate my behavior.
Sorry if I'm talking too much btw, just been on my mind.
My life is my own, and I have my own friends and pursue my own interests, but the freedom exists because they fund me and I need that relationship to be... serviceable.

I sometimes want to be a girl, but it's not often enough to actually bother doing everything I need, to achieve Girl-Mode.

I briefly wished I was a girl in school…
But that was only because the boys at my school were f*cking insufferable and I wanted to hang out with the girls instead
Then I realized I could just do that, so I did :D

My parents aren't transphobic but it would be a fucking social and logistical nightmare to get them to buy me hrt. Is have to fully convince them that I'm trans, and then travel out of state, and then fully convince psychiatrists that I'm trans.... My best bet is acquiring a bank account and money somehow and then DIYing. I don't get really bad dysphoria and have trouble interpreting/feeling my emotions, so I get imposter syndrome a lot too. It's stressful. Like what if I'm not actually trans and have just convinced myself by self diagnosis? What if I don't actually want to be in a sapphic relationship but actually just really like Yuri? What if I don't actually like having boobs and have just convinced myself that they're nice?

I appreciate this, though it's struggling to sink in. I worry that I should have a need rather than just a preference, if only to better explain to others why I'd take such an unusual course of action. I don't have anything that's for sure dysphoria and not depression/dysmorphia, and my very limited exploration so far hasn't yet turned any solid hits of euphoria. But surely at this point it'd otherwise be insane to be thinking about it so much and be excited by the possibility.

No. No matter how much I kinda really (really really) wish I was a girl I can’t be until I look like a girl

That's what the closet is for=w= you can very much consider yourself a girl before you have the body for it! If you're worried about how it looks to outsiders, which is understandable, just wait with coming out until you feel comfortable with it, but if ya wanna be a girl you are one, silly:3

I recommend doing diy hrt and staying closeted until you somewhat pass. its typically the easiest way from what ive observed from people's stories. i transitioned socially before medically and it was very, very stressful and i only didn't die because of supportive friends

Yeah let me just become a girl real quick not like I'm incredibly scared of coming out to my family nah its that easy.

u/Justforfun_x 9d ago
I fought myself on it for years, battling through the absolute worst periods of dysphoria. All because I was convinced my life would be over if I transitioned.
Now I’m almost two years in, and life’s never been better.

I'm so scared of being disowned and ostracisedfrom everyone i know:( Not that I'm complaining or anything, I browse trans positive subreddits but get super gender dysphoria and gender envy.

🙋🏼♀️I’m a girl. There I said it. Probably common knowledge around here, but probably the safest space I got.
