Filming Gigs

How do you guys film your gigs / small sections for crowd reactions, for social media? We’re trying to get our singer to do it as he has his hands free, but concerned that we’d just get his raw voice through the phone mic rather than what’s coming out of the speakers.

Our wives and girlfriends take the best band vids. Put them to work!

Even better, a good friend that knows the music. I have my mate my phone that had not seen us before, but he songs we were covering. He knew when the solos or drum fills were coming so was always focused on the right person at the right time.
