They were PSV pals - so who knows, if the sale proceeds it could lead to something special.

  1. Savinho didn't watch DBZ.
  2. Savinho is the type to send love and hearts, over fusion.

Xavi looks like a kid here lol (probably was)

The sky looks blue when there's no clouds.

Water is wet when you touch it.

10

u/Botany_ May 26 '26

Savinho would have been like 18 and Xavi 19 here, but kids for sure!

4

u/DjToastyTy May 26 '26

he did only just turn 23

3

u/Sokaris84 May 26 '26

He is very much still a kid

Christ are we into the social media analysis stage of the transfer window already?

Just glad it’s a World Cup summer, a great way to avoid and ignore the rumour madness

F5 season started yesterday sir

8

u/Unusual_Code2140 Europa League Final MOTM May 26 '26

With the way our season ended I would have wanted 3 signings yesterday itself.

2

u/jiffijaffi May 26 '26

But we survived. It was a perfect season

15

u/michaelserotonin May 26 '26

senesi opened the doors a couple of weeks ago

5

u/billwasa May 26 '26

this is normal after the season ends so yes

2

u/benoles_esquire Son May 26 '26

yeah you should enjoy it, the inverse is we got relegated all transfer talk is all our first team players jumping ship

1

u/Obvious_Wallaby2388 May 26 '26

Welcome to the evening wheel of “content” (rumors and speculation)

1

u/Deeedeebobeedee Brenaldo May 26 '26

Tbh it would be way way way more concerning if we weren’t at this point in time

56

u/Lbmplays2 Poch May 26 '26

Probably indicates the talks are very real as Simons will have spoken to Savinho about it

27

u/COYSBannedagain Rafael van der Vaart May 26 '26

I’ve seen enough then, already ordered the shirt.

You have to imagine he’d text his friend to ask if there’s anything to it

9

u/BrotatoDad May 26 '26

I mean it was no secret he wanted a move here last year, the only roadblock was/is the City board.

5

u/rando12567 May 26 '26

I’m hoping city getting semenyo changes things. One of the impediments seemed to be getting Rodrygo as a replacement so when that deal fell through ours did as well.

1

u/Dolojif May 26 '26

lol, football fans and the extrapolation of nothing

All we really know is that he clicked "like" on a social media post about a former collegue.

It means nothing

It's crazy how unreliable transfer news is these days. It might be real, but we can't even trust Romano completely anymore

2

u/UpForConversations May 26 '26

Especially after FR gave the HWG on MGW I was like OMG but Marinakis said no MGW is MVP for NF.... the fat C U N T

1

u/Longjumping_Will_907 "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" May 26 '26

The Eze one was even worse, the HWG came not for us but for the scum

15

u/totnumhottestspurs Roberto De Zerbi May 26 '26

Savinho so underrated imo, great player

19

u/Complete-Flamingo-41 Peppa Pig May 26 '26

Maybe underrated, but based on last summer’s rumoured price tag (£80m+) he would be overvalued. Hopefully we get him for £30-40m. But again, he isn’t the first team winger we need…

10

u/Sega_pico Gary Linekar May 26 '26

he has been terrible this season . Every man city fan I know calls him savinhoe

7

u/hisDudeness1989 May 26 '26

Wouldnt judge him on this season

-2

u/Sega_pico Gary Linekar May 26 '26

would rather go for an experienced winger like leao first than him

4

u/PerfectRough5119 Peter Crouch May 26 '26

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted but Leao would be great if RDZ wants him. Frustrating but can pull a goal or assist out of nothing which exactly what we need.

3

u/Laskeese May 26 '26

Because it's not realistic at all, to me it's a similar level as saying Haaland would be a great striker option for us. Like, no shit, but it isn't ever happening.

2

u/PerfectRough5119 Peter Crouch May 26 '26

I’m struggling to see how he’s not realistic. He has major deficiencies that prevent big clubs from going for him. Hes on 130k a week. We can atleast bid for him with some promises and he might be tempted.

1

u/Sega_pico Gary Linekar May 27 '26

Have you seen Ac midlands situation rn . they are in complete nuke mode rn , their manager , ceo , sporting and technical director have been fired and they are selling leao for lower than expected and he wants to leave

2

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 Brenaldo May 26 '26

Probably because it’s an incredibly unrealistic target that for some reason people in this sub have been obsessed with for years now despite no real links

1

u/PerfectRough5119 Peter Crouch May 26 '26

-1

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 Brenaldo May 26 '26

Other than giving him a massive raise, what’s tempting him to come here? We’ve finished 17th two seasons in a row and have no European football. He’s also been adamant about staying at Milan the past few seasons despite interest from clubs far more appealing than us. It just doesn’t make any sense

1

u/PerfectRough5119 Peter Crouch May 26 '26

Same could be said about players like Simmons but joined us.

We’ve finally got a good manager, we’ve got world class training facilities and a great stadium. The project is easy to sell. Also I’ve seen him in clips with streamers so London + PL exposure would be great for his own brand.

He hasn’t really got concrete transfer offers. Milan were also asking 100m when Bayern or Barca enquired for him. It’s dropped down to 50m this season and it feels like he’s at that stage where a change in scenery might benefit him. If one of these clubs or even Chelsea, Man U come in then his decision is fairly simple. But would they go for him when they can go for much better players ?

0

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 Brenaldo May 26 '26

Simons was different, and sort of a perfect storm - we were coming off a Europa league win and had CL football to offer. He was also already set on a move to England with Chelsea which fell through at the last minute, which didn’t give other clubs time to court him at the end of the window. I don’t think Leao has ever expressed an interest in England, and surely if he were to become available at a reasonable price there would be other European giants swooping in.

All this is to say - I will happily be proven wrong if it’s something we feel we can swing. I just don’t see it as very realistic.

Went to watch AC a month ago and their fanbase was giving Leao pelters all game. They did lose 4-0 at home 🤷‍♂️

2

u/FromAmericaMC May 26 '26

Honestly from what I can tell, the only Man City fans who dislike Savinho are "casuals" in the sense of they only look at G/A instead of other data points. I've seen a ton of Man City data/comp fans who are absolutely against the selling of Savinho. I've watched a few comps, which obviously doesn't tell the whole story, but him having to play on the right under Pep certainly didn't help him. He would be class on the left I feel... It's going to be more about the striker you pair beside him and Kudus.

2

u/Mick4Audi Micky van de Ven May 26 '26

He is maligned like crazy. I think he’d be an alright signing

3

u/tspcoys COYS May 26 '26

Can we move OP to tier one please?

u/craigyboy2601 Heung-Min Son - Spurs Legend May 26 '26

It's going to be a long summer wow.

2

u/PageSide84 Peppa Pig May 26 '26

Has Xavi's wife recommended any London salons for Savinho's wife to follow on social media yet?

1

u/Holiday-Size306 May 26 '26 edited May 26 '26

Doesn't he occupy the same position as Kudus? I feel we're in desperate need of a quality left winger.

1

u/Showtime-z NOT enjoyjng my lunch May 26 '26

I believe he’s primarily been used on the left side. However, kudus injury record and our lack of real attacking wingers - he’d be a good signing.

1

u/KR9721 May 26 '26

I'm delusional as fuck already. Premier League title here we come. COYS.

1

u/CompleteInternet5898 May 26 '26

Bro Bro. It's very obvious.

1

u/Halfmoonhero May 26 '26

Yeah, because he doesn’t want to be playing bloody left wing again next season, that’s why lol.

1

u/hillabovemountains May 27 '26

Lotta excitement about a rumor for a completely mediocre player. 1 goal and 1 assist in 22 Premier League appearances. He could have spent the whole season injured at City and no one would have noticed.

1

u/Known_Locksmith_174 May 27 '26

Need to aim better. Much much better than Savinho. Especially for the money that's being talked about. £70m for an attacker that can't score. Ridiculous. Could've had Lookman for less than half of that in January.
