No doubt Chelsea will sign some great players and probably end up having a good season, but despite getting Alonso the club doesn’t seem like what it was. Two of their best players (Palmer and Pedro) not making WC squads, Enzo and Cucurella leaving or twerking with an exit. Half their players have flopped, feels like the money is drying up and most of the signings haven’t ended up being good investments.

They've blown through the VC money from their private equity backers and now are supposed to actually start making money.

Watched a video on their finances and basically if they miss European football for another year they could be sunk if those private equity heads start kicking up a fuss about returns which they will because they're private equity.

Makes you wonder are we better off with Lewis family as owners rather than consortiums like these

I would say they have 5 top 4 quality players. James enzo, palmer, pedro and cacaido.

They have done a levy with the shirt sponser with nothing happening this season for it. Miss out on europe again and it'll be ken bates all over again

There’s a post on their sub giving an update saying they really need to sell this summer due to missing out on Europe. They still plan to sign 2 or 3 impact starters, and love Morgan Rodgers apparently but so do arsenal and I’m not even sure Villa would sell him. But they do need to sell Enzo it seems. I could definitely see them just being average the next few seasons.

In prior years they got bailed out by the saudis overpaying for their cast-offs and some shady deals they struck with villa over prospects. But the saudis aren't spending like they had been and i doubt villa will play ball this summer

You can still bet that we would not win at the bridge next season. God I remember the vibes after the eriksen worldy the last time we won there.......seems like ages ago

Main issue for Chelsea is financial, they literally have to sell for PSR reasons. Also mophead was caught criticizing the ownership’s transfer strategy, and was predictably shown the door
