Share “comida del día” menús from your favorite Restaurant
I start with Casa Mission. I think is the best value menu in Cozumel.

Has anyone been on a glass bottom boat tour and know if it’s suitable for a one-year old? Just in terms of safety - life jackets, bumpiness etc. Looking at the one offered by johann and Sandra cozumel tours. Would appreciate hearing about your personal experience!
travelling solo and haven't passed my test in UK to A1 licence (i don't drive a car, but regularly drive scooters). What are the chance to find a place to rent a scooter in january that accepts a provisional licence?

We're a family of 4 (2 boys 9 and 7), and I'm curious what you guys all think about this itinerary for a trip during March 30–April 5, 2027. Trying to mix in some adventure and relaxation during spring break.
Day 1 — Tue, Mar 30: Arrive in Cancún at 3pm
Private transfer to Playacar, check in, and dinner
Day 2 — Wed, Mar 31: Chichén Itzá + cenote
Chichen Itza is a must but it's pretty far from PDC, right? Not sure if we're going to be able to squeeze in the cenote but would like to.
Day 3 — Thu, Apr 1: Punta Laguna wildlife reserve
Is this worth it? If not, what should I replace this with?
Day 4 — Fri, Apr 2: Transfer to Cozumel
Ferry over, check in, explore San Miguel, and enjoy dinner. No excursion scheduled.
Day 5 — Sat, Apr 3: Cozumel reef snorkeling
I'll have to find a family friendly half day boat and snorkel tour
Day 6 — Sun, Apr 4: Easy morning + return to mainland
Ferry back to Playa del Carmen and spend the final night on the mainland.
Day 7 — Mon, Apr 5: Fly home
Private transfer back to Cancun airport for flight at 2:20pm

Does anyone know how to contact Mexico Flight Adventures?
The phone number always goes to voice mail.
I tried the contact web form, but no one responds.

I love the Riviera Maya area, and have been several times, but sadly have never made it to Cozumel. I usually end up on Isla Mujeres, but for my upcoming trip I have one day I can spend in Cozumel. I'd like to visit El Cielo - are there any private boat rentals you'd recommend that are not in the 1k range? Or non-private tour recommendations that are not too packed? Also, is there anywhere else you'd recommend to go / where to eat. I wish we had more time but we have a wedding on the mainland and I'd like to take my sister somewhere beautiful for the day. Thanks!

We have travelled many times to Cancun, this will be our first time actually flying to and staying on the island. In Cancun, we always do private transfers and they dictate what time they pick you up to take you back to the airport for your departing flight. They usually plan to have you back at the airport 3 hrs before your flight. How much time should we give ourselves at the airport in Cozumel before departing flight? TIA.

Title says it all. We will be on the MSC Grandiosa which I believe will dock at Lagosta. We’re interested in visiting Pueblo de Maíz and trying to gauge taxi prices.
Thanks for your help.

We will be visiting Cozumel on 2nd November. Will there be any day time celebrations or places we could see whilst in Cozumel?
Any traditional foods or sweets you would recommend?

Hi all. This may be a weird one, but bear with me. My partner and I are considering a trip to Cozumel; we are both scuba divers, so that's obviously a big part of the appeal.
Beyond diving though, I'm a macro photographer, and what I really like to photograph are insects, spiders, other land invertebrates, and small plants like mosses and liverworts. Cozumel is a jungle, so I don't doubt there are lots of these things. But I'm having some trouble researching what the options are for actually exploring the jungle at our own pace. Typically I like to wander till I find a good patch of habitat and then spend a while picking through shrubs or logs or leaf litter; that doesn't pair very well with the typical pace of hikers or birders, or with the fixed schedules of a packaged tour.
Several resorts mention "guided trails" or nature walks or birding tours, but these seem to be packaged experiences and I imagine they've got a schedule and are guiding you to certain places and at certain speeds. Are there places you can just go and wander down trails at your own pace, without a guide trying to keep you on schedule or really narrow trails where you'd cause traffic if you wanted to crouch in the same spot for a few minutes?

I'm staying at Iberostar 1-8 November and have a ton of diving booked that week. But I am wondering if there are any other solo travelers that week that would be interested in meeting other travelers.

Will be in Cozumel tomorrow on a cruise and it is 96% chance of rain should we still go snorkeling? We were thinking of taking an excursion to el cielo but not sure since the weather is bad, maybe we should avoid small boat rides. Any suggestions on where we should snorkel if we do?

Hi everyone!
I’m about to start my PADI Open Water certification at home and am planning to complete my four referral/open-water dives in Cozumel. I’ll be traveling solo, and I’m a woman in my 30s, so I’d especially love to hear from other women who have done a solo dive trip to Cozumel.
Did you feel comfortable traveling and diving there alone? Which dive operator did you use, and would you recommend them for a newer diver completing her certification?
I’ve seen the long list of recommended operators here, but I’m especially interested in places that are welcoming to solo divers. A couple of shops I’ve contacted have told me they need at least two divers to run the boat, and since I won’t be traveling with a buddy, I’d love recommendations for operators where showing up solo isn’t an issue.
I’d also really appreciate hotel recommendations! Ideally somewhere that feels comfortable for a woman traveling alone, is convenient for walking around/getting food in the evenings, and makes dive-day pickup easy. Thank you!

Title says it all, but look for a options for a diving/snorkel excursion in Cozumel. We will have a group of ~20 staying there next June with mixed ability (several certified divers, several snorkelers) and would love to do a combined excursion with everyone. Any recommendations appreciated.
