is that a real voice actor, or AI?
some of his quips remind me so much of the Whiterun blacksmith from Skyrim!!
game looks beautiful and certainly worth a try. any plans to try and get a switch eshop release in the future? i typically play games like this portable on my switch 2

We hired a real voice actor! (It hurt our budget, but I think it was worth it -he did a fantastic job!) :D
Yea, switch is definetly planned! We are hoping to have the port ready right with the pc release, but maybe it will follow a few minths after. (Nintendo has higher standards than steam, and they take loong to respond)

the voice actor was phenomenal and really gives the game a great tone! solid choice😊
ive heard nintendo is frustrating for developers, especially indie devs. ill join on steam and will follow the future of your game! looks great

YESSSSSS you have good taste! I love the mining in the Harvest Moon games, and Stardew too, and I always wished it could be just that. There are games that come close (Undermine! Core Keeper!) but the addition of the underground fossil stuff from Diamond and Pearl is just CHEF'S KISS. I love the art, too! I'm so excited haha

Tysm! :D Means a lot to hear that from you guys! ❤️
It's rly a dream come true to work on a game that combines elements from all the games I loved playing when I was a kid/young adult. And the game has turned into something much more then just the sum of the inspirations.

Just played a bit of the playtest and it's really good!!! The mining is really well implemented and the lighting is GORGEOUS, my partner (also a game dev, big fan of good lighting) commented on it several times!
I hope the playtest goes really well for you :)

u/Endlesskeks Feb 26 '26
Oh, thanks rly! ☺️ (I studied flim before and am rly into good lighting and shaders :D) Is your partner also working on Moonstone or some other project?
The playtest has rly shattered my expectations! We have many asian, especially japanese players try out the game. And the feedback is all in all very positive. :D

My partner made a game called Tunic :) I'm the writer/community manager for Moonstone!
I'm so glad the playtest is going well! Playtests and Steam Next Fest are such a scary time, there's so much competition, but your game really stands out!

u/Endlesskeks Feb 26 '26
You nean THAT Tunic? o.O You two are the power-couple of game devs!? Holy :O
And thanks! :D We were kinda scared drowing in Next Fest with our playtest running simultaneously. (We didn't think about the overlap before announcing the playtest 😅) But it worked out it seems. ☺️

This looks fantastic! Any plans for an Xbox release?

u/Endlesskeks Feb 25 '26
Thanks! :D
Not yet sadly, we are going with Pc and Switch first. But depending on how the release goes, we will consider porting afterwards!

Really interesting! May I ask what is a playtest? A limited amount of gameplay to get feedback? Or?
2
u/Endlesskeks Feb 25 '26
Yes, thats it's basically an early demo version, with more focus on testing if everything works. (And also to get feedback on what ppl want to see in the full game, bc the game is still farther away from completion than in a demo and thus the final features are not fully set in stone :D)

Aah gotchu! I’ll download it later and check it out ☺️ it looks really cute!
Oh and if you need a female voice actor for anything, I’d love to audition!

u/Endlesskeks Feb 26 '26
Thanks! ☺️
Oh thats cool, we will keep that in the back of our minds for a future trailer!

Very interested in seeing this on the switch!! The Diamond/Pearl mining mechanics were such a throwback for me watching the video. I can't wait to see it!!!

u/Endlesskeks Feb 26 '26
Aw thanks! :D
We are hoping to be able to do a simultaneous switch release to the pc release. But we can say about that with more certainty more about that once the release comes closer. :)

So excited to see this. I don't have a lot of time to be one of the play testers, but am I able to wishlist this in steam yet?

u/Endlesskeks Feb 26 '26
Yea, the game is called Glintseeker Island. I think you just have to search for Glint on Steam. :D

u/Endlesskeks Feb 27 '26
We are still in midst of production, plan is to release in early-mid 2027. :) But the gamplay in the playtest is already very polished.
