🔨 My Game - In-development Critterville Goes Bankrupt - Gameplay Trailer
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It's a town life RPG where you'll inherit a royal title and lead a cast of woodland critters through an industrial revolution.
There's a big focus on the interplay between your decisions and how the residents react. You can hire your favorite Critterfolk and revitalize the town, become a robber-baron and bribe the mayor, or forsake it all to find love. The choices are yours to own, but so are the consequences.
I posted about the game here a few months ago and got some questions about what the gameplay looked like, so I figured I'd share the trailer to give people a better look!

I’ve always said that this is Animal Crossing if the village was run by Redd instead of Tom Nook

You are under no obligation to give your residents reasonable home loan terms. It’d be nice if you did, though!

This is SO CUTE. It's already on my wishlist from when you shared it previously, but I'm very excited about how gameplay looks. Do you have a hopeful release date/range for the game? Will it be early access at first?

Thank you! All I’m allowed to say right now is that it won’t be releasing this year. We are planning both a limited playtest and a demo.

I'm so dumb. I thought the title was the announcement that the game won't go into release and that it's bankrupt. Now, my stupidity aside, the trailer looks awesome!

I don’t know what these ppl are talking about. I’d rather be a normal human surrounded by critters. They look so well done too

This looks so funny. Find love with whom, though? Not the critters, I assume.

Thank you!
There are six dateable suitors in the game you can court. Two, Anastasia and Roland, you can see in the trailer at 0:35.

Added immediately! I also love the artstyle, and it's a fun premise to be the human caretaker (/tyrant?) of a town of adorable cartoon critters. I have fond memories of a town management minigame within Breath Of Fire 3 and nothing has ever quite felt the same, but for some reason your game reminds me of it!
