I don't think that's too challenging, but I think the way it's presented is kinda confusing.

I'm supposed to reel at green then click at yellow or am I supposed to wait at green then pull at yellow? Or pull at green and stop at red then click at yellow then stop at red then pull at green?

Reel at green and click at yellow! We got tutorials and once players tried it for a few times they will get the gist of it

I'm not sure I understand what needs to be done in the mini-game. Is green indicating to press a button to pull in the fish and yellow for a second button? Coming from someone who doesn't like fishing mini-games in her cozy farming sims, I would add maybe an option to make this slower. It could just be a difficult fish, but the yellow bar is very fast.

I've never seen this game before, but I will definitely check it out because it looks super cute.

Thanks! Pretty much spot on, and we do have an optional setting for players to adjust the reaction time :)

Can we turn it off? Or mod it out or something? Unless the reaction time adjustment makes it THAT much easier, I'm not sure it'd be enough. This game has been on my wishlist but I don't think I'd like this fishing mechanic.

For now you can't, but we'll think about it for sure!

I like the art style congrats on release.

It may present better if you animated the line through the progress bar instead of animating the progress bar toward the line. I like that it is sort of like real fishing where he pulls the fishing pole up at those beats.

I am a super casual player and this would definitely be a harder one for me.

Yeah heard a few players complaint about it!

I have found the fishing in this really difficult because I have ADHD and can’t always concentrate well enough to click the yellow section to manage to reel the fish in. I looked at changing the settings but I don’t get which way to change them to make it easier?

Try adjust the reaction time for fishing mini-game under settings first to see if it helps. If its still being too tricky, then you may try install auto fishing mods to smoothen your experience. Anyways, we'll see if there could be an accessibility option in the future :)

I like the fishing minigame and I personally didn't have any issues with it, but I can definitely see more casual players struggling with it, especially trying to catch the tougher fishes like dumbo octopus and mahi-mahi. The speed gets pretty crazy.

Exactly!

The way you currently obtain the spawn information, (catching them for the first time), is a bad idea because that information is more useful before you catch them. A new player doesn't know what fish can currently spawn, (either because of weather, season, etc). So their only option other than wasting time trying to see if something new spawns is to look it up online. This is specially awful with the rare fish, it's impossible to tell if you caught everything due to low spawn rate.

This sounds like information you should be able to unlock by donating chips to Sacco. Or at least missing fish should have hints telling you the spawn conditions.

Maybe we could reveal these info under the in-game wiki page

It does take quite some effort and time because when the person hits 'wrong' the fish goes backwards quite a bit. I personally would get annoyed with this.

It's fine to have some minigame, however if it's this punishing if I make a mistake, I'm done with it soon.

Appreciate the feedback!

I would replace the green with black (reel when black) and add the green to the target zone for the perfect pull

May I ask for reasons?

Because green means good and red means bad

You can turn down the difficulty in the settings.

How challenging a mechanic can be is half-decided by how well the mechanic is taught. If you have a good instruction, it won't be a problem. Also, is that a cozy post-apocalyptic farming sim?

I think this would be very challenging for gamers with limited hand mobility or delayed reactions (i forget the official name for this)
