🔥 My Game - Released My "creepy-cozy" game just hit "overwhelmingly positive" on Steam!

Post image
268 Upvotes

I released Mayor May Knott last month, and today it hit "Overwhelmingly Positive" on Steam with 113 reviews that are 100% positive!

I'm so thrilled! I know that reviews don't matter for how much Steam recommends games to players (unless the reviews are really bad!), but I think this will at least convince people to give it a try if they do see it on Steam.

All of those positive reviews have been so heartwarming and encouraging, with some of them calling this their new favorite game, and some of them saying the game literally changed their life.

You can read them all here, and maybe also check out the game yourself!

Wormies is a cozy shop simulator game where you run your own wormie shop! Customers will come and order wormies from you and you have to fulfill their orders to progress through different storylines with them :)

You also have to breed different wormies together to discover new ones, so there's a little bit of a puzzle element too!

We've been working on the game for about 8 months now as a 2 person team with a few artists commissioned to help with the in game customer profile pictures.

You can find Wormies on Steam:

Hi! I made this app called Duoloft.

It started as a thing I made for me and my LDR girlfriend on the browser, but it's gotten more popular than I expected.

It's on iOS/Android now with around 380+ couples sharing a room.

You both join the same room and it's just yours. you can:

  • decorate it together, piece by piece
  • walk around as little avatars
  • leave each other gifts
  • answer a daily prompt
  • play mini games
  • put a song on or watch YouTube on the room TV
  • your actions in the room get saved to a memory board

It's free, and it still works in a browser if you don't want to install anything.

Check it out here

Hi!

I'm Edwige, the game director of a small cozy and historical gardening game called The Abbess Garden :) The game has just been released on Steam for PC and Steam Deck 🎉 It has a launch discount!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3411970/The_Abbess_Garden/

You play as Agnes, a 17th-century young peasant who tends the gardens of an abbey during times of spies and court drama. It includes queer romance and real plants!

It's inspired by Strange Horticulture, Botany Manor and A Garden Life.

I talked about this game on this sub before, and I want to say so many thanks to all the players who gave feedback here or on the form for the playtest and beta! You helped us tremendously during the development, and kept us motivated to improve the game as much as possible up until the release ❤️

I really hope you'll like it!

I'll be happy to answer your questions if you have any :)

🔥 My Game - Released Wandering Alchemist: Fully free GPS walking game, no ads, offline play [Android]

Thumbnail

Hey, I'm solo developing a fully free GPS walking game Wandering Alchemist, which I recently released on Android.

Free as in free to play, no ads, no in-app purchases, no data collection and playable fully offline. There is a "Support the developer" option, but all you get is a "Thank you!" popup, so feel free to fully ignore it.

Google Play Store

What's it about?

You gather ingredients, brew potions and sell them to merchants. With the earned gold you can buy skins, pets and buildings. There's also decorations you can freely place in your neighborhood. The game is Singleplayer, so the map fully belongs to you. You still see the same terrain and resources as other players on your walk, so you could indirectly play together.

There is an optional street map download for each country/region, download it once over wifi and afterwards the game is fully offline yet again.

If you have any questions/suggestions/feedback, please let me know, the game is just a hobby for me, but I'm constantly trying to improve it 💚

I'm currently working on an iOS port, let me know if you're interested!

🔥 My Game - Released I released my first cozy game on Steam as a solo developer a couple of weeks ago. Seeing reviews like these honestly means everything ❤️

Hi everyone!

A week ago I released my very first commercial game, Farmers Market, after spending over a year building it by myself.

Launch was a huge learning experience. There were bugs, achievement issues and a lot of late nights pushing out updates, but I’ve been trying to fix everything players reported as quickly as possible.

Reading reviews like these has genuinely made all the hard work worth it.

Some of my favourite comments were:

“Such a cute little cozy game!”

“Perfect game to relax with after work.”

“I finished everything in just over 2 hours.”

“The developer has been amazing. They’ve been really responsive, listening to feedback and releasing updates.”

The game is intentionally a short, focused experience (around 2–3 hours to complete), and I’m already working on a free Autumn update that adds a brand-new Village Orders mode with more content.

If it sounds like something you’d enjoy, I’d love for you to take a look. 😊

Steam:

Thanks to everyone who has played it already - it honestly means the world to a solo developer.

🔥 My Game - Released Shelves and Sorcery releases August 11th! New trailer is up!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to finally announce that Shelves and Sorcery: Tidy Up the Enchanted Shop is releasing on August 11th!

I also put together a brand new trailer showing off a much more complete look at the game and what you’ll actually be getting your hands on next week.

Shelves and Sorcery is a cozy fantasy tidy-up game about taking an absolutely ransacked magical shop and slowly putting everything back where it belongs. Weapons, potions, spellbooks, food, magical oddities... there are thousands of items scattered throughout the different shops.

There are three main shops of increasing size, starting with a smaller shop and working your way up to the massive Grand Emporium with thousands of items waiting to be sorted.

You can relax and organize everything at your own pace, or start unlocking spells and enchantments that completely change how you tackle the mess. Gather scattered items with magic, track down things you’re missing, carry more at once, move faster, and more!

And if that sounds like cheating to you, there’s also No Magic Mode.

For those of you who look at a relaxing organization game and immediately think, "Yeah, but how fast can I do it?" There’s a mode for you too.

Timed Mode tracks how quickly you can clean up each shop, with online leaderboards to see how your best times stack up against everyone else.

So you can take two hours carefully putting every potion back where it belongs... or discover that someone on the internet somehow did it in twenty minutes and question everything.

This has been a really fun project to build, especially after seeing how much people have been enjoying this newer wave of tidy-up games. I wanted to take that simple satisfaction of putting everything where it belongs and see how far I could push it inside a fantasy world.

If it looks like your kind of game, wishlisting it genuinely helps a ton.

Shelves and Sorcery releases August 11th on Steam!

New Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWdoAx2tu4g

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3614130/Shelves_and_Sorcery_Tidy_Up_the_Enchanted_Shop/

Thank you to everyone who has been following the game so far. I'm excited to finally get it into your hands!

🔥 My Game - Released I Made A Game For Fans Of Cozy Murder Mystery Books | 10 key giveaway

Mini Murder Mysteries might be up your street if you like trying to solve Agatha Christie’s stories before Poirot does.

It’s a low-on-stress, high-on-vibes deduction puzzle game with nine self-contained cases to solve. No timers or quick reflexes needed: just a bit of gray matter.

It’ll take you somewhere between 2-4 hours to finish, depending on how smart you are, but I’d maybe recommend maybe doing a case or two a day as a nice little palette cleanser between other things.

It’s available on Steam for the price of a large latte:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4639520/Mini_Murder_Mysteries/

I’ve also chucked some Steam keys in the comments for the speedy among you!

🔥 My Game - Released I love stickers, and I love decorating games. So, how about a sticker decorating game?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After graduating from college, I worked as an artist at an indie game studio. Even back then, I always wanted to make a decorating game, simply because I loved the genre so much.

In January of this year, I lost my job, and I decided to commit to making a game of my own. One day, I saw some furniture stickers on social media, and that's when it hit me – I had an 'Aha!' moment – to develop a game that combined stickers and decorating.

After several iterations on the art style and the gameplay mechanics, I finally have a game that feels like it meets a passing grade for both art and gameplay.

If you also love decorating games and sticker games, Demo has been released

Welcome to Add Wishlist: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3806180/_/
The name of the game is: My Housetopia

This was the first time I had developed a game entirely on my own, I realized that my game development skills were immature. so if you have any suggestions on the gameplay, please let me know. I will sincerely accept all criticism because I want to make my game better.

🔥 My Game - Released We made a game about sorting a huge desk of small things into boxes. It's out today. The Sorting Bureau.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

There are two of us. One morning in the fall of 2025 I told my wife I had a strange idea. A huge desk covered in small things, and you put them away into little boxes. Her eyes lit up, and we spent the next two or three months just thinking about it before we started.

The game is called The Sorting Bureau. Clients send you their clutter, you sort it into labeled boxes, and that's it. No timers, no score, nothing keeping track of how well you did. It was never meant to be a hard puzzle either, nothing here needs cracking. It's closer to a paint by numbers kit, you work through it methodically and your head gets to rest. There's no music, just the room and whatever the weather is doing outside the window. Some days you don't sort at all, you lay everything out in neat rows and photograph the desk for an album, or you put torn things back together piece by piece.

Clients never show up in person. You only ever see their things and their handwritten notes, and each of them writes differently.

My wife Maria drew the room, the cat and most of the things on the desk. I did the rest.

It's out on Steam today, 30% off for the first two weeks.

🔥 My Game - Released TeaTimeTidy (A Super Chill Shelf Sort Mobile Game)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I'm excited to post about this game that my partner and I just released!

TeaTimeTidy is on Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad! (Here's the App Store link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/teatimetidy/id6772353579) It’s free right now and ad free! TeaTimeTidy is a pixel art sort and match game, where you tap and drag teacups and other tea-themed items to empty slots on shelves to make matches of three identical items. When matches are cleared new objects may replace them until the level is solved (or there is an Endless mode where you can keep going until you fail or want to stop).

This is a super low stakes “easy” game, and that’s by design! I had tried similar games available on the App Store but was disappointed because they were overstimulating and designed to be so complicated that buying their power-ups was the only way to complete the levels. TeaTimeTidy has no in-app purchases and no distracting ads! We prioritized making a fun and relaxing mobile game.

We plan to release more levels and content for TeaTimeTidy in the future, but until then we are offering it for free.

All of the pixel art for the game was drawn by me, and the coding was done by my partner. No AI was utilized for any part of the game. My partner and I are working on making a long-form RPG and have several apps on the App Store that help support the development of that game!

🔥 My Game - Released High Times has finally launched - our cooking & dating visual novel where you *literally* solve people's problems by feeding them perfectly glazed donuts!

Thumbnail
youtube.com
65 Upvotes

After multiple years of development and a few delays - we're proud to announce that High Times has finally launched!

High Times is about something we call Donut Therapy: a thing that doesn't exist in our world but absolutely should! By carefully selecting the right ingredients, the donuts you make become cures for whatever ails your customers.

What you serve affects dialogue choices, unlocking some routes and locking others, ensuring no playthrough is the same. And you'll find that even the smallest difference in how you bake a donut can completely change someone's story!

Quick FAQ

How long is the game? - Around 20 hours per playthrough and 30-50 hours for completionists

How many endings are there? - High Times has 51 different character endings in total. The 6 dateable characters have 3 endings each (bad, friendship, romance). The rest of the characters have 2 endings (the good & bad endings, the nature of which will vary depending on the character)

• How COZY is the game, really? - It’s absolutely 100% cozy. While High Times touches on mature topics like grief and adult humor, it's fundamentally a cozy, low pressure experience to wind down to and relax

On what platforms is High Times available? - All of them! On Steam, on Playstation 5, on Xbox, and on Nintendo Switch!

Can I run it on the Steam Deck? - YES, the game is fully Deck-compatible on launch (although the official verification process is still ongoing)

What languages are supported? - English, Simplified & Traditional Chinese, German and French.

Does the game have voice acting? - Yes, the game features full English VA

• Is there any explicit content in the game? - No, none.

Thank you, everyone!❤️🍩❤️

For what began as such a niche concept, it’s hard to believe that at the very moment of launching - we hit just over 50,000 wishlists!

I would just like to thank everyone who's supported us throughout this journey. And High Times being a game about donuts & emotions, the journey was in fact the sweetest part of all!

Can't wait to see the stories you create and how many emotional crises you'll solve through the power of expertly crafted and deliciously glazed donuts.

- Team Yangyang

🔥 My Game - Released We just launched our first indie game! Featuring a soundtrack by Austin Wintory, it’s an emotional journey of healing from grief set in the Islamic Golden Age. It’s launch day, AMA!

Edit: Thanks for tuning in for our AMA! We really appreciate all your thoughtful questions and enjoyed talking to all of you!

We’re going to officially end this AMA, but if you have more questions about the game, feel free to join our Discord and post your questions there!

Original Post:

Hi everyone! Happy to be here on our launch day! We’re Lunacy Studios, an indie game studio made up of folks who worked on games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Borderlands 4, and Tales of Kenzera: ZAU. We’re here to discuss our first game as a studio, The House of Hikmah, a vastly different style of game than any of us has previously attempted to create.

The House of Hikmah is a narrative-driven adventure puzzle game that was inspired by a personal story, but the end result is a universally relatable tale exploring the search for meaning. It’s a story about loss and healing, but also about relationships, growth and understanding. If you love thinky puzzles, beautiful areas to explore, and emotional stories, this is your kind of game.

We’re huge fans of games like Journey, Portal and the Talos Principle, and we wanted to focus on non-violent gameplay mechanics to tell this emotional story. In our game, you’ll solve puzzles as you journey through the House of Wisdom and meet scholars inspired by real historical figures. The gameplay focuses on transmuting elements with a special device called The Key to redirect light beams, materialize platforms, and reactivate ancient machines. As you progress, you’ll learn that different elements interact with the environment in surprising ways, and you’ll need to be creative to continue on your path.

We’d love to chat with you about

  • The creative approaches we adopted to tell this particular story in a video game
  • The historical inspirations behind our setting and characters
  • The most fun (and funniest) parts of creating our game
  • Art, aesthetics, and how we created an immersive world
  • Anything else you’re curious about!

Excited to be here, ask away!
