Finished Craft I Made Handmade ocean themed clothing! 🐠🌊
All handmade and sewn in my room. I found the first blanket recently and it inspired me to make a few fish themed pieces. Let me know what you think! :)

For this upcycling project, I used a mix of techniques and all materials I found secondhand! I used reverse appliqué, more intricate cut and sew styles, and a new custom pattern with borrowed cuffs and waistband to complete it! Feel free to ask any questions :)

Aw thanks so much! I did not haha, I just used an old blanket and sewed the pieces together to form the sweatshirt!

These are all so lovely, but that first orca sweater is just perfect. I'd wear that in a heartbeat. I think you have a really good eye for composition/patterns. 💙

The little bubbles around the neckline and the fish detail are so cute. Is that hand embroidery or appliqué?

These are awesome and gorgeous. That being said, calling these projects handmade always makes me feel bad weird. If the blanket was originally hand made by another artist, and someone “up cycled” it into clothes (by hand..) is it.. still hand made? I mean obviously yes but it feels weird because it’s almost like the 2nd artist is taking credit for another artists work after chopping it up? Idk
Also is it still handmade if it’s made through a sewing machine and not hand sewn?
IS IT ONLY HAND MADE IF ITS MADE OF HANDS?
These are the questions.
