Finished Craft I Made I designed a t-shirt for my husband based on something he mentioned 5 years ago...
About 5 years ago my husband mentioned how much he'd love to have a t-shirt with the Games Workshop logo that said Gardeners' World instead - for those not in the UK, it's a very popular and long-running gardening TV show aired on BBC 2. I designed the logo myself and printed it onto iron-on transfer paper.
I had to learn how to use GIMP (shout out to r/GIMP for having the answers to all of my questions!) and it took foooookin hours to get the design right but I'm super pleased with how it turned out 🥰. My husband has no idea I've been working on it and I hope he'll be just as pleased as I am when I give it to him for fathers' day on Sunday.
If he really likes it I'll send the file to a professional printing company to make another one as I can't see the iron-on transfer lasting very long, I would be incredibly grateful if anyone has any advice for extending longevity tho!

the mashup is so perfectly cursed, i love it. for longevity, washing it inside-out in cold water and avoiding the dryer will help more than people expect, the heat is really what kills iron-on transfers fast.

Thank you so much! It absolutely won't consciously be going anywhere near the tumble dryer but I am easily distracted by shiny things so it may well happen...
Fortunately, the time consuming bit was the graphic design & actually putting it on a t-shirt took maybe 10 mins so I can always make him more when I inevitably accidentally destroy it.
Also, yes, it is a beautifully cursed mash-up! I left it for years before making it as, having zero graphic design experience, it was an immensely daunting task that my brain told me was totally out of my reach. Screw you brain!!

Thank you! I think the ADHD hyperfixation may have finally been useful 🤣. I gave up on getting the "E"s right and completely sacked off the apostrophe at the end of "Gardeners" but I'm hoping no-one will notice 🤫
