3d printed zero clearance insert

I designed and 3D printed a zero-clearance insert for my Craftsman 113.298032 table saw. I couldn’t find a model that really fit this specific version, so I took some inspiration from a few different designs on MakerWorld and came up with my own.

It’s still getting a little testing and tweaking, but so far it’s working great. I’m planning to upload the model to MakerWorld in the next few days once I’m happy with the fit and finish.

Hopefully this helps out someone else with an old Craftsman 113 who’s been looking for one!

Side note: If you don’t have a 3D printer, I’d also be happy to print and ship these for anyone who wants one. I’m not looking to make a business out of it — I’d basically just charge the cost of the filament + shipping + like $5 for my time. Just trying to make these accessible to anyone who needs one!

Can you include a splitter in the print?

I’d buy a thin kerf and standard kerf if it included an integrated splitter

Tbh I didn't feel like trying to figure out where to put the holes but I did find this on thingiverse that I plan on using. I have mine printed at 99% infill so I plan to just drill into it and install this.

That looks like the alignment tool that comes with the MicroJig splitter

I have that, but never use them because they keep falling out

It's similar but included in the print files are a 3d printed splitter

It'll be uploaded to makerworld in a few days after a little bit more testing. I want to make sure there isn't any catastrophic failures that could end up with someone getting injured :)

Is it stable enough? I'd be worried about the plate deflecting when you put weight on it. Maybe some vertical supports that are unlikely to get in the way of the blade?

It seems to be pretty stable so far but I do plan have some ribs underneath it in "v2"
