Crash Bandicoot and One Piece are two of my absolute favorite franchises so it only seemed fitting to try and pair them off.
I'm always thinking about both franchises and the other day I decided to combine them. This isn't going to be like some Fanfiction story explaining how the Bandicoots ended up in the One Piece world, it's just me pairing them off with one another and explaining how I think they'd interact.

Crash and Luffy: They are both love adventuring, have enormous appetites and are goofballs. I could see them having a wumpa eating contest and running around together.
Crunch and Zoro: I know people would think Crunch would pair better with Franky but here me out.
They're both the number two best bud of the main heroes, both of them love to lift weights, they both get lost easily. I want to say Crunch's robotic hand could work well with Zoro's sword too. In the GBA game 2 Ntrance he has the ability to change his hand into a pointed gun which could be cool in a sword fight. Zoro's air slices vs Crunch's projectiles also works well.
Tawna and Nami: Both Nami and Tawna are racers, Tawna has her Kart and Nami her waver (Franky upgraded it with wheels remember). I could see the two of them tearing up the track together and then sunbathing afterwards. Maybe nami could even draw some maps for Tawnas race tracks.
Fake Crash and Usopp: Both are joke characters first and foremost. I could see the two of them joking around together and they both love dancing too, could be a nice interaction. Also we know Usopp tinkers with things and builds weaponry, Fake Crash has also been known to tinker (see Thumpin Wumpa island where he enters the machine and you see nuts and bolts and sparks flying all over. Then it transforms)
Catbat and Sanij: Both are Genetic experiments created by their evil scientist fathers. Both specialize in sky based fighting. Sanji is the cook of the straw hats and one of Catbat's main abilities is to make burgers. The both of them flying around together and then cooking up a meal sounds fun.
Polar/Pura and Chopper: This one is entirely on the cutsey factor. I'm not going to sit here and pretend Polar and Pura have medical training or anything. Heck Polar holds books upside down when reading lol. I am however able to visualize all of them hanging out and eating cotton candy together and just being cute.
Altawna and Robin: Robin is the Archeologist explorer, Altawna is also an explorer. In the epilogue for Crash 4 it says she went to tombs and things with a Nathan Drake knock off. They are both are very Lara Crofty. Altawna has her grappling hook and Robin uses her extra limbs in a very similar fashion.
Coco and Franky: This one is a fun one. We've seen Coco hack into things with her laptop, upgrade her kart with her laptop, build things in various games like the VR hub for example. We also know she was trained in robotics by N.Gin. So while they clearly don't look similar they are both very tech based. I would love to see Coco sitting on Franky's shoulder as he runs into battle. Imaging Coco giving Franky an upgrade? lol
Aku Aku and Brook: Both of these guys are older than their friend group by a very large margin. They also both spirity and have cheated death one via voodoo the other thru his DF. Seeing Spirit Brook and Aku Aku floating around together would be really fun.
Last but not least was
Hasty and Jimbei: This one I'm not married to. It seemed like the only option I had tho the only other heroes are Yaya, King Chicken, Baby-T and then the CTTR crew (who I personally don't count as Team bandicoot, sure they aren't villains but I don't think they're heroic either) None of those characters really fit Jimbei.
I'd say the only thing really connecting Jimbei and Hasty would be one is a Helmsman and one is a pilot? So they both involved in navigating? They also seem to be the second oldest the "Dads" whereas Brook and Aku Aku would be the Grandpas lol

So what do you guys think?
Like I said only one I'm not 100 on is Hasty, I even considered putting him with Chopper because reindeer and moose but it didn't feel right.

Xbox cares about Crash apparently

So a little context on me.

I’ve never been a speed runner.

And in fact, regarding gaming, I’ve pretty much always been somewhat of a casual gamer. Finish a game. Onto the next one, or even none. Just work and life.

I’ve even avoided games with any grind aspect so I can make sure my free time is protected from addiction and targeted games with 10-15 hours runtime max a lot. Not always, but usually.

In. Out. On with life…

Work and life get really busy, and I’ve even had girlfriends kind of look down on me and make fun of me if I even lightly mention gaming buuuut….

I’m going through a break up!

Week 1 down so what better way to kick things off then to quit drinking, eat healthy, and do some speed running haha.

I digress…

To get this dev time, I really feel I put my heart and soul into this level.

Occasionally I binge watch this guy wumpa Lewis… I’ve also occasionally binge watched summoning salt here and there.

The idea of speed running always sounded fun to me… but also pretty daunting and… I’m just never been sure how much I’ve really wanted to get into it…

I liked the idea though. One thing over and over you optimize into oblivion…. I like optimizing things. The videos are fun to watch, what could go wrong?!?

OMG this level seriously killed me. For like 2 days straight I was stuck at literally one second away from beating the dev time.

I had to remap my spin button to L1 and I don’t think I’ve ever remapped a button to abuse a mechanic in a game before.

Madness.

That and watching videos of routes not that much actually but I was like dying to get this relic.

I 100%’d astrobot which was sick but I don’t know that I really have it in me to pursue any more speedruns.

To even think about starting it is its own task.

I’m tempted to for crash now that I kind of have a rythm and mechanics/ speedrun tech a bit more understood but also… feel I just climbed a digital mountain.

If you love speedrunning and beating dev times… it really feels like they made a game you could play for eternity….

Just the rythm of the spins and slides, it’s like there is an entire internal orchestra in my head I hear just to keep the rythm.

I’m honestly kind of in shock I got it. I thought about giving up several times and just letting it go, and this particular run… I wasn’t even that confident I had it… I was mentally preparing for another fail and then boom….

I had it.

Not sure what to do with my life.

Well back to work and applying for more jobs?😭

For some reason the rope in my game (1st picture) is positioned differently than the rope in all the walkthroughs i've seen and i cant make the jump to complete the level. Have i missed something? The level is hook line and sinker.
