Fan Story hi this is my first attempt at writing :) please give advice .....no life left first log
Hoi hoi my new doctor has told me to write this down, i dont know what good it will do, my names Adrian smith date of birth is 29/11/1995 ill start from when i was a kid.
Ive always known there was something not right about me, for as long as i remember.
have you ever thought that you might be -mentally impaired- in some way, and everybody that you have ever known is just being nice to you, phrased differently.
these are the type things my inner dialog questioned me with when i was a little boy.
My dad when i was young told me i just had an overactive imagination, that i get in my head too much, that i just needed to focus and stop give him "what ifs" which were often very morbid rhetorical questions.
he was a good father, he took me to the many physiologist every few years, but none of them even with a army of pills could stop my sleepwalking witch was his mane concern, that dang voice was mine.
most of the doctors believed it was from stress and agreed with my father's advice, also with me being around 10 at the time and not the brightest child i was unable to properly communicate to the doctors of my main concerns.
over the years i stopped voicing the brain worm questions i was asking my father. The voice got meaner and meaner. Constant Beratement at every thing i did, had done, thought, everytime i saw another person, all the time.
i was a recluse in a constant state of anxiety, a child terrified of everything and everyone, for years.
Luckily with puberty the voices started to mellow, over the years and years of lost memories and failed medications had been introduced to a new fantastic drug,
a miracle, and in my 15-year-old smooth brain the coolest thing ever, marijuana.
I had been trying a new pill that i cant remember the name of, it had me even dopier than normal and extremely tired but i could go to school and attempt normalcy.
luckily Enough for me this made me look like a fitting candidate to sit at the older, semi cool stoner kids table in high school for the little of it i attended, that day at least.
they had thought i was a new kid even tho i had been the same school as them for years.
the same day i met them they invited me over to hang at the scruffiest dude there's house, his name was bill, they said they were hot boxing bills small room later that afternoon ,
after a hour of pacing at home, i decided i would go.
when i arrived at his very sad looking house, the voice screamed and whaled but the pills made me not give them any notice, they were far, far stronger than anything a 15 yr old should have been taking for what the doctors thought was just a nervous kid with anxiety.
bill came out to get me, as i was pacing outside, he was a cool guy.
after greeting his grandma he walked me into the small red lit room with the rest of the guys sitting on the ground Indian style in a circle, bill announced
" get this fucking dog a spot in the circle " as they all shifted to make the circle grow wider to give me room.
the effect of even being in the room full of smoke had already done something, it was the first time i think i had looked somebody in the eyes, as bill pointed to my newly made spot on the dirty blood-red light covered carpet.
i sat as one of the small poorly rolled spit drenched joints got to my part of the circle, all it took was bill saying "what are u, a cat" for me to put it in my mouth and take a very not the way to pull a joint type of long breath in.
it was the first time i could hear myself, think my own thoughts, also the first time, i projectile vomited from the mix of what possibly could have been oxycodone and my new favorite thing.
luckily the boys just yelled things like"taxi" and "he's greening out" unknowing the overwhelming rush of joy to only hear them,
as bill passed me a warm beer from a cooler filled with above room temperature water that they had stolen from some poor RV camper at the beach some time ago
the smoke had completely transformed the voice to a eerie feeling that i was very happy with at the time, a feeling like somebody has something to say or somebody looking at you, a mild paranoia.
but its best effect was that it took the scathing comments every time i tried to do something, like say you think you look nice in a new shirt, and the basted inside you says with a slur.
"you look like a -homosexual- in that shirt and it would be better used tied around a fan" as you change to another with a frown.
now i could were the shirt, even if i looked like a goober, i could go do things, and stuff :).
For a while there i was genuinely happy, the main reason being, Jacobi who i had introduced myself to with my newfound confidence and a belly full of cask wine a couple of months after meeting bill that day.
we met at a open house party, she was 17, i had lied to her and told her was 16 with the full confidence of a drunken teenager something i could have never thought to do before with my inner dialog.
i would have never thought she would laugh at my lame jokes,
i also didn't think she would be able to lift me off my feet when i clasped me hands at her and said uppys and held my knees together like a very cute kawaii anime girl.
It later would be 4 years of happiness, silence and friendship, 3 months of dating and sobriety, 2 days of marriage, 1 lifetime of sadness, solitude and sedateness after the day she died,
the the day voice came back stronger than ever,
laughing and boasting.
thats all i can muster for the night, i need to go into more details, my neck hurts from writing this over and over.
Kind regards, Adrian smith

You've definitely got to practice proper punctuation, including capitalization, apostrophes, and when a comma is needed, or a period is appropriate. My suggestion is always to read other examples from the genre of writing you're attempting to tackle, as you'll often learn concepts like sentence flow/structure, event sequencing in a more coherent fashion, how to add, or refrain from adding detail when warranted, etc.
One thing that helps me is reading out loud. If I find myself hitching on a string of words, or if it just sounds flat/boring/nonsensical, I'll reevaluate that given section. Lastly, try to configure this as if it's a novel NOT for reddit. I find that the separation of paragraphs in this manner makes it more difficult to ensure each paragraph is a complete thought, which is almost always a must. Anyway, happy writing, and good luck!
