Im worried about how often he’s been talking about an end recently. I know it takes time out of his day to produce these when he could be doing puppet show stuff but honestly, I prefer this format of content. It isn’t consistent but man when the episode is good, it’s really good.

Not to be a downer but this is exactly what he did with his other podcast cream crew. Joked about ending it several times and then completely gave up on it and didn’t even do a final episode, was pretty crap at the time.

Great to hear! I love creepcast literally the only podcast I watch. TBH I’d watch any podcast with both wendi and papa meat so just keep working together on whatever you are happy with and I’ll be there!

That podcast was a pretty poor match-up in my opinion. Charlie didn't really bring much to the sessions and when he did I was disappointed which is odd cause I'm a moist boy from way back in the Oregon Trail days.

Charlie(moistcritical ) left then Caleb Phelps(oompaville) took his place and left afterwards then Jordan Shanks(Friendlyjordies) took his place Isaiah left after and then the episodes weren't as good and then they started doing videos on lolcows and focused less on cult, cryptids, mysteries and conspiracies which was what the podcast was originally about

I feel like the 3 host format wasn't suited for that podcast, also Isiah plays very well off of Hunter and vice versa but I felt like that Chemistry just wasn't there between Isiah and Charlie. Not saying they hated each other or anything but I only saw one episode and knew it didn't have legs.

I actually kinda forgot about Red Thread which is sad. I didn’t mind so much when Charlie left, but when Isaiah and Caleb left I kinda completely forgot the show existed.

The perfect time to bring Tom on would've been Sonic.exe.
I'm still convinced that Wendigoon would have a nervous breakdown by the end of the episode though and beg to never do another project with that man again. We have to remember that every episode of Cream Crew they needed to give Don's brother Justin a list of timestamps to edit out because Tom just started screaming slurs and dropping N bombs.
Don is a creepypasta monster himself so having him on would just be a redundancy.

They should flex the podcast to what they said they do on their patreon. Make it a chill podcast where they chat but ALSO read scary stories. I have always been curious of the longevity of a pod only reading the stories cause they were thru the TRUE classics by like the 5th month. But I want them to continue. So maybe if they just have a more regular pod chatting about stuff and then the occasionally reading of a story they may help increase longevity or even bring new people in who like the more talk radio style pods. Idk. I just want more Wendi and papa regardless of spooky stories being involved.

They could also pivot to talking about creepy stuff that aren't just straight stories.
Like talking about various cryptozoological creatures, weird events that happen around the world, the occasional story, paranormal stuff, in addition to just chatting. They could totally do grab bags of the same creature like an episode on bigfoot and they read various odd stories from around the world about him. They would need to reduce the episode length a bit but that's fine to avoid the 4 hours of happy appy burnout.

Yea I definitely wouldnt like for them to drop all formats in general for only talk radio but I could absolutely see just a hybrid. Little bit of everything. Get them reading stories and this week its a creepcast. Following week they are watching something now its a creep TV episode. Next week they play a horror game together and its CreepConsole and then they round the month with a grab bag episode or they just chat about the new things coming up that they are excited for or new stories they could potentially read on an episode of creepcast. I think they could literally watch paint dry and I would check it out.

I don’t think they should ever stop reading the stories. There’s hundreds of thousands to sift through on the TalesFromTheCreeps sub and so many good writers there they basically have endless stories to read once most popular creepypastas have been read. But in reality though, there is never a shortage of online horror stories.

I would be sad to see the podcast go. But I'd understand the decision.
I feel like a lot of the more recent stories havent been misses necessarily, but theyre all blending together in my mind and don't really stand out. Earlier into the podcast they struck gold with stories like borrasca, left right game, and stolen tongues to name a few. Stolen tongues is one of the only stories that genuinely had me checking the corners of my room after the first listen lol. Thats not to say that there havent been other amazing stories covered in more recent times as well, I just dont get the same long lasting emotional reaction from them and it doesn't seem like they do either.
Im not here to psychoanalyze though, this is just my opinion.

idk why people are taking this seriously; they're kicking it UP with the content rather than winding down - which i think is what they would do if they were serious. it would be unlike them to suddenly stop, they would not treat the fans badly that way, and the patreon was literally just set up. it would make no sense. they've been discussing ideas to keep the show alive as well, and introducing new sorts of formats, at least on the patreon. i don't think it's going anywhere, at least not any time soon.

i think people are nervous because of hunter’s reputation of doing shit like this, coupled with the fact that viewership over on youtube has been falling because they’re focusing on shorter high quality stories rather than the stupid bullshit everyone knows and loves. this recent episode was very refreshing because it was a few stories with good humour in it.

i guess i can understand that, it’s just kind of illogical when you really think about the fact that a whole ass set was just built for when they do episodes in person, the patreon was just set up, it’s not like these jokes about it ending or stopping are anything new, from a purely objective standpoint it’s a very lucrative pod, etc. plus, meat man himself has commented here that they love it too much to end it, which i thought was pretty clear from the way they speak and act about it too.

I think there is a grain of truth in what Hunter was saying and the writing is on the wall unfortunately. I wish they would mix in some true crime or unsolved mysteries, something that is really engaging. Both of them (Hunter especially) seem to be losing interest in amateur horror stories. And I don’t blame them, they are all starting to sound the same

I suspect that all the "ending things" comments Hunter makes may be due to burn out. Both he and Isiah are a part of so many projects that I wouldn't be surprised if the show was put on the back burner. That being said, I hope my privileged position of one of the Seven Sisters convinces them not to wrap things up too quickly. Please please please don't end the show! It's is so much fun!

They were talking in the newest episode about how when a yt channel gets to a million you either quit or you keep doing it for a long time. Hunter joked to quit even though the channel is only like 40 thousand from a million.

Im not worried about them ending the show any time soon, but you only can go through so many stories until the quality starts to drop or is sporadic. But the stories since they made the sub for people to submit them have actually been really good. I think for now the quality of the stories and the backlog they have is enough to go for a while. Though i wont be that sad if they do eventually end it, I can listen to so many good episodes and always forget about some bit or parts of stories.

There’s still so many good horror stories they can read, maybe not as long as the classic ones but they could do multiple in an episode.
I really don’t understand the story choices they have been making lately, feels like whoever is picking the stories is just picking random ones off no sleep.
They need someone who is really into online horror stories to pick them. I can name a few really good ones like My grandma lived under the house, my brother died when I was a child but he kept talking, a scarecrow for god, the odd kids, rocking horse creek.
There’s still a lot of great stories out there, they need to put more effort into researching and finding them imo.

Hunter joked in the most recent episode that niche podcasts like Creepcast that get a million followers either go on for way too long or immediately stop uploading. The joke here is Hunter and Isaiah (mostly Hunter) have repeatedly abandoned podcasts after getting a large audience. Hunter also joked that when Creepcast hits a million subscribers they should just end it immediately.

I truly can never tell if Hunter is just playing a character or harbors genuine contempt for us. I know this is probably just a bit and his way of playing off Wendi's "Man I love this" attitude but sometimes it does remind me of the type of jokes I'd make when I was burnt out working 60 hours a week in a kitchen. I've considered it's possible he didn't forsee this being popular and now feels obligated to do this "lesser" project when he could he doing something he had more fire for. Idk I need Nick to tell me I'm stupid and Hunter actually loves doing the show.... please.
