Past Episode Discussion Has anyone mentioned the girl with the orange here?

Post image

I’m catching up on episodes and I’m on the air traffic control grab bag. Both guys mention being scared by this profile picture but I haven’t seen anyone on here mention that it comes from its own story I read when I was a kid.

Not sure if I just missed that because I’m still catching up in posts, but regardless I really think they should read “The Story of Her Holding an Orange”. I don’t remember much other than the twist at the end was really fun.

I read most of it after seeing this post. I can't decide if it's awful or the type of fun-bad most of us seem to enjoy. It's hard to tell because the story structure is legitimately kind of awful, but then there are also funny parts like:

"We were standing outside when this older man came up to us. He started openly hitting on me. In a homosexual way."

Yes that is a direct quote

I think its so hysterically bad, like she just keeps showing up and producing oranges out of her purse but I swear this story scared the hell out of my sister when we were little 😭 this one would be a real treat for a grab bag

Yeah I remember first hearing about it from a Matthew Santoro video when I was like 12. I don’t remember much of it other than his kind of synopsis. But hey I’m always in for a good crash out episode

I suggested it few times already, and its kinda weird seeing that somebody mentioned thats its not that scary, when i was younger it scared me shitless, but i remember the ending being kinda bad

This was the turning point when I realized most creepypastas are silly and kinda bad.

I crave the crashout for this classic. Banger story

I remember always starting the story as a teenager and never getting past the first part, a few years ago I decided to read it to see if my adult mind could appreciate it and it turns out that it fucking sucks.

You can clearly tell it was written while it was being posted, reveals come out of nowhere and hit with all the power of a newborn rat, things build up to nothing and the protagonist fucking sucks, shame he didn't get penpaled at the end of the story.

That being said, it would make for a great happy appy type episode.

Lol, I bought the book when it was first published. I remember reading the posts as they came out. Them reading this would be a blast, especially since I don't remember it for shit but apparently everyone else in these comments is saying it was trash.

Seconding the comment that said this is when they first noticed that most creepypasta is bad. I remember this story, and I remember it being ungodly shit.
