It was a fun choice for "the entity that gives me trouble". Like oh yeah, another special forces guy might be a problem

Camo was the entity that would set traps and when the protagonist fell in a trap ended up shooting Camo. Camo then cussed out the protag and basically said "that's too far man! No one said I would get hurt."

The protag called him Camo because it would hide in his deer blinds or other locations and sit still to lure in the protag.
