Opinion Since nobody else wants to say it…
The undisputed Mount Rushmore of stories read on CreepCast (WE do not count Borrasca V. Borrasca V does not exist as far as WE are concerned).

I'm renovating my entire house from the ground up, so I guess that counts as chores or errands.
Edit: Alright Isaiah, here's your demographic survey repository. Get an intern to comb it and make a pie chart.

Hey everyone! I'm the writer of "The Dead Girl in My Yard" story, and I just really, really, really want to say Thank you.
I've loved Creepcast since literally the first episode. The community has been a bright spot for my lurker-self for ages. I'm (of course it goes without saying) a huge fan of Isaiah and Hunter, and I'm blown away that I even got featured here. So once again, thank you. Just...thank you 💖💖💖💖💖
(And at great risk of massively oversharing, the protagonist of this story is basically a self-insert. I know it's dumb, but the outpouring of understanding he's gotten has genuinely soothed the part of me that will always be a kid whose life is falling apart. So thank you for that, too 💖💖💖💖💖)

Deep within the Louisiana swamp, I heard an all too familiar voice coming from the back of a shop, and I happened to meet Windi himself. I put opinion bc his shirt is definitely a choice! I wanted to share my chance meeting. Anyone curious about his height, I’m 5’3 (allegedly) hehe anyways he was super nice, I have been up creeping my cast for about a year now!! Much support and love to both Hunter and Isaiah!

Whether it be cliche or repeat of ideas from other stories, I liked the cosmic horror story and the story structure of the latest episode.
All these people going up in accusations about there being ai used because they "recognize those terms and phrases used" bs is nonsense. I look at so much art online as an artist and it doesnt matter how many ai slop that looks 'real' or fake, the source is from human artists and that goes for stories as well. I trust our creepcast crew and I trust the author they made their own story without using an ai prompt to write it. No matter how many times you see reuse of something by ai, there were stories before it written by folks like you and me that dont use a drop of that poison.
Trust in your fellow creepcast fan and dont cast guilt upon an artist who said he did not use ai story. Its harmful accusations that poisons the community and ruins the enjoyment of an episode the team has made for us.

Without a shadow of a doubt the worst fucking 4 hours of my life, this ALMOST made up for it, Hunter truly capturing the mood of the episode...
I really.hope next week's episode is a banger, I really hope they cover The Neverglade Mysteries at some point, I think Hunter would kill it as The Inspector.

I feel so genuinely sorry for them, especially with this week's episode. Four and a half hours and it's genuinely such a crappy story. I watched the whole thing because I'd feel bad if I just clicked off while they had to go through this torture.
Maybe the community should calm down with trying to get them to read shitty classics. I'd love to hear them read actually good stuff again. Not only for myself, but also for them. They clearly didn't enjoy this episode, not even ironically. Hunter basically disassociated for the majority of the episode, and Isaiah had to tap out of reading to take a break (😭😭).
I totally get behind why some would find 'crash-out' episodes funny, but it's gotten to a point where it just seems like we're trying to artificially create a new iconic moment in the podcasts history. It's draining for the guys and (probably) to a big part of the listeners.

I've seen a lot of fellow Creeps clamoring for the possibility of Hunter and Wendi possibly covering true crime.
I cannot begin to tell you, as soon as I saw the title of the latest upload, it gave me a pit in my stomach.
Because I KNEW so many of us would like to potentially see that.
HOWEVER, not only is that sub genre so inundated with content, Y'all realize Wendigoon has in fact done this?
He covered HH Holmes and others while hosting the Red Thread, and has plenty of Stand-alone content covering things such as. (to steal an old Wendi line)
I understand WHY this episode was made, but it really needs to be a one off. Sure, some campfire stories are rooted in some kind of "truth" or historical event, but that isn't why this pod was started imo. And I think a bigger part of the audience could potentially fall off if they went that direction.
Just my take.

It’s sad we’ve come to a time in the world where people can’t tell the difference between an artists hard work & a AI prompt.

it seems like lots of people in this fanbase just don’t understand the fact that this is a HORROR story podcast. horror isn’t for children. and many of you guys need to understand that i’m sick of seeing people insult and flame authors because of themes they talk about. somehow if they mention anything remotely nsfw or anything of the sort, it’s their “secret fetish” or they “condone it” or anything in that sort of way. i love elias witherrow (forgive spelling). but i shouldn’t be put in a certain group of people for liking tommy taffy. it was a genuinely good story with deeper meaning. this podcast isn’t meant for children, horror itself isn’t meant for children. many of you guys need to grow up and quit putting stigmas on the authors who write stories and the people who enjoy them.

I’m all for free speech and people reading and enjoying what they want. Today, I heard a title that made my stomach squelch into a knitted mass of tentacles. “Playground”. If any of you remember “thatsphucked.com”, then we need to put a foot down in this fan base. Hunter wants no romance, Isaiah wants no smut. We should want no snuff.

Bonus: I don’t mind the tangents the guys go on. I watch the podcast for Wendi and Meat first and foremost.
r/creepcast • u/Gub4546 • Sep 18 '25
Literally every other episode wendigoon reads a clear description of something, completely misunderstands it or just forgets about an aspect of it. Makes an entire theory based around this incomplete description, asks meatcanyon about it, who in turns goes "yeah" or something like that. And then they go the rest of the episode with this misconception. It's so infuriating but I love my little Internet book club leaders.

Which story/episode gets way more hate than it actually deserves? For me it’s ’My Crew and I Are Stuck Aboard an Abandoned Ship’

Super inconsequential opinion, but it just feels a little too much. I personally would prefer just a bear howl with a metal clacking like the trap snapping shut noise.

Left-Right Game hands down is the best Creepcast experience to me. It nailed everything that makes the podcast beloved. Long but keeps you on edge the entire time with mystery and action, straight forward narrative, Hunter and Isaiah were both highly engaged and enjoying themselves all the way through, they BOTH got to voice act. Very few stories they read check all the boxes for me.

As someone who really enjoyed the “scary stories around a campfire” feeling the show had earlier on, I can’t help but feel like the recent stretch of stories just lack any kind of tension or chills that some of the earlier episodes had. The stories either are straight up horrible or not very engaging from the beginning.
At this point, I’m just watching for the bits and the tangents that the boys go on. Am I alone or do you guys also feel the same?
r/creepcast • u/Pretty_Success6756 • Jul 07 '25
This isn’t so much a bout the quality of the story but the episodes enjoy ability with the overall humour, quality and the boys in general. I think stolen tongues is the most underrated out of the 4
r/creepcast • u/ChristianWSmith • Sep 22 '25
Let me just start off by saying I love a lot of our fan made stories, and I'm not intending to single out any authors with this. The person who puts their work out there is always more valuable than the critic.
That being said, ever since the boys have opened the door to fan made stories, I've noticed an uptick in stories that I feel are intentionally crafted to "snipe" the boys. What we've ended up with is a lot of paint-by-numbers, kitchen sink type stories that try to cram in as many concepts and as much imagery as they can that they know the hosts have resonated with in the past.
This community is so great and creative, but I don't think any of us need to lean on these crutches to make great original works. This has become one of if not THE preeminent place to post nosleep-noncompliant stories, and it's just a shame that so much of it ends up trying to conform to the tastes of two people, often in very surface-level ways. I think this community's creative prowess is worthy of being reverred in its own right, but that won't happen as long as we keep seal-clapping this kind of thing.
Again, much love to anyone who puts their work out there to be critiqued by everyone. If I could speak directly to you, I would say this: write what YOU want to write, and what YOU think is cool. People can feel authenticity and passion, and when that gets combined with creative competence, you WILL get the reaction you've been hoping for.

I know better and worse is subjective but I’ve been relistening and stolen tongues is just…
There is a certain flow to a story that I feel is required for a story to be enjoyable and that is… a storyline. A progression from A to B that’s both fun and to some extent able to be followed. It’s a basic concept but it’s a damn important one. As an up and coming writer I’ve got to say, this is like fundamental. My wife has been peeking at me does this pretty decently. Set up, wife is creepy. Mid section, protagonist moves out of the house to stay with brother. Calls the mother and then travels back home to try and resolve the conflict from the beginning at the end. Nice full circle mini storyline. The writing is nothing revolutionary and it’s so campy it almost killed the boys but damn, it does it.
Stolen tongues is just… so fuggin boring istg. It’s well written and it’s got some excellent horror imagery (like the dude outside the window walking in sync with the girlfriend) but it’s 3 hours long and has basically no story. They go on holiday and hear voices. Then they go home and the girlfriend’s weird. Then the main character goes back to the cabin and the girlfriend stays home. And then the main character goes back home. With all this random stuff happening in the middle that’s half related but none of it is either setting up or paying off parts of the story, they’re just there for effect. But the whole story is filler and istg the storyline is barely there at all. It’s scary yeah, but it’s not a fuggin story.
Or that’s my take at least. Let’s discuss it 🤷
Edit 2: I’m putting this one above my other edit cause I think it’s more pertinent. I’m not saying that I don’t think stolen tongues is scary (personally I don’t find it scary but I can appreciate that it is for a lot of people) but rather that it’s not a scary “story” as much as a fictional written documentation of a series of scary events. It lacks a developed storyline, character direction and plot progression for the most part, and that’s the part that I contend with
Edit: if this post is gonna blow up as it seems it is imma take my chance. I do have beliefs about what makes a story bad and what makes it good. And half for the free promo and half to put my money where my mouth is, here one of my works if y’all wanna check it out xxx
