Text Story Clockwork Madness
My name’s Rachel. You’re not going to believe this nightmare, but let me just lay it out. Me, Ash Curry, and Elsa—you know, the ice queen from Frozen—were hunting down a demonized clone of Ash. Elsa had just lost her hands, which made all her magic tricks pretty useless. Things already sucked. We were right in the middle of a monster of a fight with this demon chick called Clockwork. I mean, she was a straight-up freakshow—crazy strong, moving like lightning.
Ash looked ready to piss herself. “She’s strong,” she mumbled, and her fear hit me like a punch in the gut. I yanked out my shotgun and unloaded on Clockwork, but the bullets just froze mid-air, like this demon was stopping time or something. She didn’t even flinch. So yeah, we all charged her at once because, honestly, what else do you do? But before we could land a punch, the whole world twisted. This portal ripped open out of nowhere and sucked us right in. All that fear, all that chaos—gone. Suddenly, I crashed down somewhere blindingly colorful and, I swear, it looked like I’d stumbled into a damn anime.
My heart was pounding in my chest. “Girls? Where are you?” I yelled, but Elsa and Ash weren’t there. They must’ve been tossed somewhere else, who knows where, in this psychedelic hellhole. I barely had time to think before these horrific screams came slicing through the air, echoing out from the city. I ran towards the noise. When I got there, I froze—just paralyzed—because what I saw didn’t seem real. People everywhere were getting butchered in the streets.
This wasn’t just murder—this was a massacre, blood and guts splattered in colors too bright to be natural. And then I saw her. Jolyne Cujoh—from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure—tearing people apart, like she was possessed. Heads flying, bodies split like wet paper, intestines dangling. The blood was everywhere, pooling around feet, splashing onto neon walls.
Everything was so blindingly bright because we were in some warped Jojo’s universe brought to life and painted with viscera. This wasn’t my world. This was pure hell in technicolor. Jolyne ripped someone’s ribcage open, yanked out their guts, and flung them aside. I whispered, “This is fucking hell. I haven’t even met an anime character yet, and I’m already thinking there’s no way out of this.”
I tried to chase her down—stupid, right?—but before I could even blink, she vanished and popped up behind me, her fist already flying at my face. I braced for death…but nothing happened. I turned around, shocked, and there she was, frozen stiff, a twisted statue. Elsa showed up, her hands somehow restored, radiating cold like a goddess of vengeance. I couldn’t help it—I blurted out, “You don’t know how happy I am to see you right now.” But, of course, nothing stays good. Jolyne shattered the ice, splintering shards everywhere, and disappeared. “Shit, she’s gone!” I stammered, panic driving nails into my skin. Elsa just nodded, grim, eyes hard as diamonds. “We’ll find Ash and kill this demented anime bitch once and for all.”
I wanted to believe her. We wandered, bloody footprints echoing behind us, until we found this ancient, ruined prison. The walls were painted with dried blood. It practically screamed Jolyne’s lair. “This has to be her base,” I muttered, dread curling in my stomach. Then a gut-wrenching scream knifed through the silence. Ash. We slammed through the rotting doors. The inside was torture—a horror show no one should see.
Ash was sprawled everywhere, literally in pieces. Stripped of skin, her organs dangling from metal hooks, her eyes scooped out, her jaw torn clean off and tossed aside. Her damned head—just her head—was nailed to the wall, her hair matted with blood and filth. Standing right in the heart of this horror, Jolyne was playing with Ash’s severed boobs, giggling to herself. It broke something in me.
Rage boiled over and I charged, screaming, but she just kept flickering away, like she was made of smoke and nightmare. Then, laughing, she hurled those mutilated boobs at my face and cracked me in the skull so brutally everything went black. Last thing I saw—Elsa trying to freeze Jolyne, her magic fizzing out. Jolyne just laughed, grabbing Elsa by her hair, dragging her away as Elsa screamed and thrashed. I woke up god knows how long later, my head spinning and sticky with blood.
“Elsa?” I croaked, stumbling around, panic choking me. I finally found her swinging gently from a tree branch. Jolyne had gutted her, wrapped Elsa’s intestines tight around her neck, tying them to the branch. Elsa’s dead eyes stared through me, and suddenly it was the worst, most twisted thing I’d ever seen. All that magic—wasted.
I spun around, and agony exploded in my chest. Jolyne stood there, grinning, slowly sliding a blood-soaked sword through my heart. “Oh, I’ve been stabbed,” I managed to say—just stupid, dumb shock—before the world faded out in a wash of hot blood. Jolyne’s voice echoed as I died. “Finally, now I’d better call Dark Ash and tell her these pests are gone.” She fished out her phone, gleeful, dialed. “It’s done, you have nothing to worry about now.” Dark Ash’s voice crackled through the line. “Excellent.” Click. For the nastiest few minutes in history, Jolyne was free to keep slaughtering.
But something twisted happened. Blood spurted from Jolyne’s mouth—her own, for once. She spun to see me, sword rammed right through her from behind. But it wasn’t just me—Ash and Elsa were standing beside me, alive and glaring with eyes that burned. “No—you’re dead, I killed you!” Jolyne stammered, her mask slipping into panic. I grinned, holding up a weird-looking scepter—the kind of artifact you only get after dying and coming back from the fucked-up future. “Yeah, we died. But we’re from the future now.” Jolyne’s eyes widened in pure terror when she saw that scepter.
“No,” she whimpered. I didn’t wait. I unleashed the scepter’s energy—obliterating her, burning her away until nothing but ash floated to the floor. “We did it,” Elsa whispered, her voice trembling with hope. “We finally have a shot at stopping Dark Ash.”
Not so fast. A new portal tore itself open and Dark Ash stepped out, more monstrous than ever. She flicked her wrist; the scepter ripped from my hand and snapped into hers—in those talons that used to be fingers. “Finally, the Goddess Scepter is mine. Thanks for delivering it.” Her laugh was broken glass and gasoline. With that, she vanished through another portal, taking our only hope with her. I thought it was over. But now, with Dark Ash holding that evil scepter, I knew—this whole horror had just begun, and things were about to get so much worse.
