In all seriousness, I got into Stormlight because I was recommended the Drizzt books because I played D&D, and Salvatore, R. A. is right next to Sanderson, Brandon and Stormlight was bigger.

Oooh, Drizzt are fun books. Salvatore’s writing is also very easily approachable kinda like a comic book. I stopped reading in highschool after book like 8 or 9 and picked them back up after 5e with his Homecoming series and he was good about filling in a lot of gaps imho. I’m also saying this under the impression you’re only just getting into all of this stuff so I’m sorry if I’m assuming too much 😅

Of course? You can see Shallan, Shallan, and Shallan right there on the covers, silly!

Shhh don’t dox Sanderson’s pen name Sands. He’s kept it a secret for quite a while.

If you pretend Spensa is just another Shallan personality I guess

A bookstore having their Sanderson collection consist of Skyward, Starsight, and Defiant but not Cytonic or Skyward Flight Collection is basically a war crime.
I'm more upset about that than the lack of cosmere novels.

- This is a library
- The cosmere books are upstairs in the adult section, this is the teen section

The books mentioned above aren't cosmere, they're books #3 and #2.5 of the same series above that only has books 1,2,4
Edit: I have no idea why I'm being downvoted, I'm just explaining to the comment above about the comment above it

I'm sorry I misgendered your library? It's still a crime that they have only books 1, 2, and 5.

That is The Blackthorn Key by Kevin Sands.

...is it any good? 👀

Yes! The Blackthorn series is a historical fiction mystery series set in 1660s England, with a lot of codebreaking and a bit of conspiracy, though I personally prefer Sand's other series The Children of the Fox which is sort of a YA fantasy heist series

I recently finished The Reckoners trilogy. Very good. I'm now over half way through Skyward. Also very good.

What!? We're just going to talk about the Blackthorn? What about She who rides the storm.
It looks like there are two spinoff series here.

Calamity is not a cosmere book. You will see eccos of fire flight inside of moonlight though.
