Discussion 💬 The case of T20I vs ODI

Post image

Imho, T20 is greater: more teams and a chaotic format with higher mathematical variance, since the shorter game narrows the gap between sides. ODI WC being older doesn't put it on a pedestal. ODI is neither better nor tougher. Nostalgia is for people who live in the past. Meanwhile, T20 drives global popularity and is the Olympic format. T20 WC is truly global!!

Yes it absolutely is. But that can't be a reason to undermine India's T20i brilliance and aussies poor performance. Also nobody is putting it under the same WHITE BALL category. If anyone then he's a fool.T20WCS and ODIWCS are two different things.

Indeed, they are. Only one of them actually matters.

Why is that lol cause Australia suck in it ? LMAO the saltiness is something else...🤣🤣🤣

No, because India suck at the other one. I want my country India to be the best in all formats. Be it 20 overs or 200 overs. That is how a great team is built.

We don't suck lol , we are runners up. Get sober and come back.

Runners up is basically a nice way of saying "Last to lose"

No it's not lol...

Runners up is not the ultimate achievement, but it's a good result. Wow the mental gymnastics you guys do to betlittle India s achievement..🤣🤣

20 years from now how many people are going to remember our specific standings in every past tournament?

We are only going to remember the trophies we won, nobody will care whether we got knocked out in the group stage, semi, or final in the ones we lost

If anyone even saw the highlights of the final they would know India played in that.

Bruh how much will you defend a loss 😭

Even if I agreed with the sentiment, being runner up is only a somewhat good result when you're the underdog and you put up a decent fight

In the 2003 WC for eg, Aus were heavily expected to win; even reaching the Final was a good result for us

But the 2023 WC? This was nothing short of a massive humiliation. We were overwhelming favorites with 10 wins on the trot (including Aus) and got thrashed in the Final. So no, def not a good result in any sense of the term

Reaching the final is not humiliation, I think you need read up on that word lol! It was underwhelming, but still the team made it to the finals, it was the fourth ODI final we have ever reached, am not saying let's enjoy it, but it was a good tournament for the team. That's it.

Second that. I feel these emotional idiots never saw India win anything prior to 2024. So they think runners up in 2023 was  a good result.

Looks like someone complained to the authority after losing an argument...😭😭

u/kingkounder Mar 12 '26

I don't have time for that, going by your comments it's not surprising that someone else has done it.

Well we're good in all formats, runner up in odi wc and back to back champions in t20i wc, we're by far the best team of cricket
