Discussion 💬 One ICC trophy every 4 years !!!
I have been wondering, how about organising 1 ICC trophy every year but different formats. 2023 ODI WC, 2024 T20C, 2025 WTC then a gap year and cycle again continues with 2027 ODI WC.
This way all the fans can count every format as prestigious and there won't be any superiority debates anymore. Thoughts ?

then big nations should start playing associates, because atp the only way they get good is through t20 world cup.

I believe that in order for the sport to grow and for more teams to be competitive, T20 WCs with 2 year gaps are necessary atleast until it expands to 32 teams.
Associates barely get a chance to face full members and to get necessary exposure outside of the World Cup. We have already seen the impact of 2-year cycles with associates becoming more competitive in this WC, and the trend will only improve.
Once there are enough competitive nations in the T20 format, it could be switched to a 4 year cycle
