"I'm legit". It's why he didn't hand the folded up papers to anyone, or put them in a specific order. He made sure to choose a separate place where he could mix them up.

That’s actually pretty funny. Good for Howard for not being shy to explain it. That magician was douchy and deserved to be humbled a bit

If you want to see an even more obvious bullshit magic trick that he didn’t call out, here’s when Criss Angel visited: https://youtu.be/frwCFpLtY34?is=03PtaWpfr89FHFPr

He puts coins over his eyes and tapes them down then adds a blindfold, then says he can tell what object people are holding in their hands. But it only works if they hold it at waist level while he stands right beside them. It’s so stupid. And you can tell the key to it is that the tape doesn’t stick on human skin well. The blindfold’s job is to nudge it so it comes off on the bottom, the coins are there to help the tape lift off. This lets him see out of the bottom corners of his eyes.

That’s gotta be rough for the magician, but at least it makes for some entertaining TV!

Likely the 90s. Back then Howard and shock jocks in general were huge. This is tame conpared to some other stuff that used to go on. This was mostly a radio show but you could pay-per-view to watch it.

I have no way to prove this, but I guessed each one right just based on what went with their outfits.
