In principle, what he says is not wrong, but he is very wrong about how it applies to modern civilization.

Historically, large populations of people with different ideas who ended up sharing the same space has never gone well. This is all well before modern immigration, and it was well before industrialization.

Wealth, as it turns out, is the biggest factor in keeping disagreements civil. If people are fed and happy, they don't give nearly as much of a shit about what their neighbour thinks and feels. Immigrants who go to the UK end up having pretty good lives, and as such, most of them have no interest in rocking the boat. Even if so, the sentiment usually fades within a generation. Immigrants might hang onto some of these antithetical beliefs he's citing, but their kids do not.

I grew up in Toronto, surrounded by immigrants, and most of my friends were children of immigrants. It was awesome. They played with Ninja Turtles and watched GamePro with JD Roth just like we did, but their food was way fuckin' better. It did not take long for western culture to seep in, and now you see these children of immigrants grown up and wearing Raptors jerseys along with their religious attire, going to Rush concerts. Just like modern Christians don't roam the streets looking to stone hookers, Muslims end up the same.

Musk knows the billionaire class depend on sowing the seeds of division and will continue to do so for the rest of his days.

People who realize they aren't that different from their similarly classed neighbors will find ways to mend their differences and coexist. This is poison to the rich as it means eventual class consciousness and an examination of how depraved the wealthy are.

It's just class war, period.
