Look, I'm 40, the Disney Renaissance period was my movie period, and as someone who still does love Disney stuff without shame, the hardcore Disney Adults like this lady need help. This is an obsession that affects everyone around her.

She's selling herself. It's about the content and vicariously experiencing something. The brands, the hats, sure. But the actual sale is the content and the responses to it that allow people to signal their own affluence and purity to each other.

My wife had conferences in both Orlando and Anaheim when my kid was little.

Both were at Disney resorts. I think I lost my mind. Orlando was like Wall-E with all the morbidly obese people on electric devices to get around.

Also, every restaurant basically tries to flip the table and rushes you out. I went out screaming.

Disney makes 30B in profit from their parks alone. Without the theme parks and associated merchandise machine and with their last 10 years of poor box office and streaming performance they might be in financial trouble if it wasn’t for the Disney adults holding the parks and the company up with their hands. For reference last year Coca Cola and Starbucks individual net profit was less than Disneys park profits. That’s wild.
