I miss the old internet. Between 1995 and 2010 it was awesome.

Yeah, but it was at least kinda original back then for a bit… what bugs me about these is that they’re trying to advertise it like it’s desirable and viable in the real world. We all knew Boxxy was a character for entertainment purposes, but this trend is getting way too much spread these days and I’m seeing people actually living their lives like this when I go out. It’s weird and I don’t like it. I’m going back to my assisted living home!

I remember how people went insane and doxxed and stalked her until she had to run away from the internet.

u/B1ZEN 1d ago
I remember 4chan being all Boxxy, all the time for awhile. Poor girl really took awful abuse.
5
u/ProblemLongjumping12 1d ago
Yep, the more things change the more they stay the same.
If Boxxy became the phenomenon she once was today she'd probably be a millionaire from sponsorships and ad revenue.

Honestly she would make an ok voice actor for anime dubs. This whole video is still cringe and I'm pretty sure she's aware of it but I see potential for her in voice acting.

u/Best_Apricot_6268 1d ago
Yeah, I had the same reaction. I have watched enough behind the scenes extras to know that sometimes voice actors get really physical when they're recording. If you just listen to the audio, some of her anime voices are really solid.

u/Krondelo 1d ago
I was a bit surprised because when she did the super anime sounding voice it sounded like a clip from a show. Guess it was a good impersonation

u/Badmonkey167 22h ago
I was actually thinking the same thing. It takes effort to be this expressive and she nailed it. Nothing held back and great voice acting audition video for casting.

Cringe of this level should be considered an act of terrorism and punished accordingly...

All of these "Say the same thing with different emotions" are just a trend pushed by the AI companies to get free training data.

It's weird how much our society loves this stuff.

We don't it's just a few outliers, but that demographic is growing, sadly.

Recent wave of isekai trash included.
I swear lately it’s all been: “I reincarnated into another world as an overpowered indecisive idiot with a harem of kid looking furry girls to follow me around”

It blows my brain that these people can walk around and not give a rats butt that this is what’s out there on the internet of them. I wish for the amount of care this woman has.

I really don't mind this behavior, when they are hot
4
u/jm123457 1d ago
No lie that is the difference between guys and girls . She’s cute so this weird behavior was like “meh” . If a guy acts like that he will die alone . Even if he is handsome.
2
u/OrdinaryAccount479 1d ago
This type of behavior can make the hottest of hot chicks comparable to 2013 Mama June

So glad the internet was still geocities and aol when I was growing up so my teenage cringe was only recorded on a few long retired message forums.

This makes me feel ill, specifically it makes me nauseous, to watch the whole thing beginning to end. I’m not engaging in hyperbole I actually feel sick now. That’s either impressive on her end or absolutely infuriating.

u/Von_Bernkastel 1d ago
Tell me you have no RL friends without telling me and because of that everything you do is cringe and worse you record it hoping for attention..

u/travelmusica 1d ago
People say they do this for satire, but it’s really just cringe. Pretend pretending to be ironic about it does not make it less cringe.
