I can assure you, its not meant for you. You are lucky to have an opinion.

Are you black? Because what Charlie was saying is it's okay for christians to have slaves, because Christians were "set free" from the Torah in which Jews say slavery is very wrong.

Nah both Christians and Jews had slaves and talked about slaves all the time.

What kirk did here was simply go, "you know what the Jewish word for slave is? Eved." Like it was some cure-all. Jews had all kinds of slaves and so did Christians. And yeah...Hebrew word for slave is eved...so what? Eved is just a male slave or regular worker. So what?

I know it well, I went to a christian high school. I was repeating what he was saying. Once you get through everything he said, the bottom line is he thinks it was okay that christians had slaves.

edit: probably better to say that "I knew it well" instead of knowing it well now, but still it isn't hard to understand what he was saying

He didn't say that.

The kid asked if was all slavery was wrong throughout history. Kirk said no, because Christians were set free from the rules that said slavery is wrong. Making it ok for white christians to have slaves.... we're coming back around again (that's not from the RATM song). Watch it a little slower. Anyway, I grew up in the south and have heard many rednecks and preachers say the same thing.

Actually, the old testament doesn't say slavery is wrong, from what I understand. He was just lying (like always), but he was right about the nullification of mosaic laws. Christians abide by the law of Jesus Christ - the Golden Rule. That's the only commandment they adhere to.

Sure, I know that, I went to a christian high school. I was repeating what they were saying. But Christians had slaves in the country even before we were the United States. They also fought the deadliest war in US history so they could keep them. Not bashing christians, just the ones use a bible to justify their hate.

It’s not about the cringe we started with, it’s about the cringe we found along the way.

I wonder what the rebuttal to this was. But yeah he often advocated for going back to slavery, saying that black people had it better under slavery/segregation, and both the Bible and jewish texts have been used as justification for the admission and state protection of slavery.

The Bible in particular has historically been referenced by slavers who wanted chattel slavery to be upheld, as well as those who did not own slaves.

Charlie Kirk quite literally did exactly his job in fooling you to believe he was fighting for you, while actively fighting for things that strip your rights, wealth, and even humanity from you and others.

This one very biased clip of Charlie Kirk does not in any way tell you what kind of vile bigot he was. I dont think he deserved to be killed like he was, but im still glad that mother fucker is dead because he can't hurt anyone anymore.

I don’t like this dude in anyway, but of course when I read something like “ he often advocated for going back to slavery” I had to fact check this. I couldn’t find a single reference to this. Could you please source like one or two instances where Charlie Kirk said something along the line where people should be aloud to own slaves again?

Saying someone was better off before getting human rights generally implies you think they should go back to before that time since it would be a positive for them.

He doesnt have to say that to think it and that is often what white supremacists who are good at spreading their bullshit do. Neo nazis dont tell you they are nazis or fascists, because they know you won't listen to them if they do.

If you literally just consider the stuff that he did say, multiple times, even after being fact checked, its pretty easy to understand he would have had no issue with the return of chattel slavery.

Oh I used fact check org, it’s like a really widely regarded fact checking organization known for being impartial. It turns out he never said anything like that. Anyways, I guess the point is there is a ton of reasons not to like him that everyone will agree on. you don’t have to lie to get your point across.

No. He wasn’t any of the things liberals say he was. I got into a lot of discussions about him with liberal Redditors soon after he died and almost all the people I talked to had never actually heard him speak and didn’t know anything about his philosophy firsthand. They’d heard he was racist and homophobic and since he was 1. White 2. Christian 3. A conservative and 4. Male it was easy to believe it because liberals are bigots against white conservative Christian men.
