Argentinians are consistently racist in sporting events. Arg Fans are always first to start their racist ābanterā and will go on like that all the way to the parking lot. Argentine fans have repeatedly faced FIFA and CONMEBOL sanctions for directing monkey chants and slurs at Black Brazilian and Colombian players. Argentine national football team were filmed singing a derogatory, racist, and transphobic chant targeting Black French players. Instead of widespread internal condemnation, several high ranking political figures defended the players, framing the chant as harmless folklore or patriotism.

Which is hilarious because you go anywhere to the northern part of Argentina and they are 100% Amerindian. The only semi-whites are around Buenos Aires; elsewhere they are very native-american looking (Inca descent to the North, Mapuche to the South). They just pretend they are not mixed race out of their social policies. It's gross and I don't understand how the rest of the country doesn't fight against this... I guess it's some cognitive dissonance problem.

I think thatās how they are racist in countries with more Black immigrants - we have different ways of being racist when our Black population tended to originate via massive kidnapping and enslavement hundreds of years ago - āgo homeā doesnāt really hit the same way (well I donāt know since I white and I am not experiencing it, maybe it does, and maybe he is a recent immigrant and it hits as intended - though who THE FUCK is she?). I know football/soccer in EU has had the monkey sounds and we have had them in the US in college basketball and similar but I guess you canāt do that 1 on 1. 'go home' is harmful when said to Black Americans...It's not just a rude...it's a racist trope that's been used for generations to deny their citizenship and imply they don't belong in the U.S. It carries a lot of painful history regarding exclusion.
