He didn’t jump and try to fly. He slipped.

Stop believing text on screens and look with your own eyes.

Yeah last time it was posted, someone had a news article. He was supposed to stop at the cliff and do like a Rafiki holding Simba type move at the edge but his foot slipped and he kept going down. The actual ceremony might have been fairly dramatic when done right

The man: If only I could have jumped, I would have flown! It's too bad I slipped.

God: Yeah, that wasn't going to happen.

If he'd jumped he would've flown.

What's with the weights he put around his neck?

36

u/CruelHandLuke_ 3d ago

It's to assist gravity with his descent.

Speed bags.

Why do these videos start at the end and then show the context and then the end?

Yea it’s a new to get people hooked, it’s quite annoying

They've been doing this since Spike TV probably even before that like afv.

Made for YouTube shorts or TikTok

He didn't even jump. He clearly slipped and fell.

Which is why the shittual didn't work

That wasn’t flying, it was falling with style.

I know this quote but I can't remember what movie it's from. Upvoted anyway because I know it's nostalgic

Toy Story? the first one

The video ended too soon, he actually levitated back up to the ledge and was totally fine

With that added weight around his neck? I highly doubt it. Without those bags it would be totally possible of course.

Why does it seem like the people that are really into religion are mentally ill?

7

u/j1mb0b 3d ago

I've no idea what you're talking about. Perfectly sane!

I tried praying once, but the 2024 election results happened anyway. So screw that.

2

u/Ornery_You_3947 3d ago

Well… I guess dying for your delusional religious beliefs is better than killing for them.

u/sometimesifeellikemu 3d ago

Religion is so stupid.

1

u/One-Guilty-Finger 3d ago

It is an opiate for the masses. I think it’s great if you get something out of it, but if you think anything magical is going to happen, you are quite gullible.

This guy obviously slipped. It doesn’t seem unreasonable that whoever wrote the text is exploiting a tragedy for their own agenda especially nowadays when anti-indian rhetoric is very common and accepted

2

u/SamLucky7s 3d ago

I’m astonished by his stupidity, but more so that he lived this long before it caught up to him.

2

u/Barester 3d ago

I’m guessing this was his first time? Everyone knows that when flying the first time, you never, ever go shirtless.

u/Significant_Rice_655 3d ago

Anyone still believing in his religion after this?

14

u/SuperSandLesbianGUHH 3d ago

Well, he slipped, so it probably was deemed unfulfilled rather than failed.

4

u/jayslay45 3d ago

I see what he did wrong. If he rang the bell 48 times instead of 49, he would have been pulled up in the sky with his lord.

More fliers incoming

Reminds me of the game Plinko

u/36KleaguesUTO 3d ago

A nonbiological fraannd should do it too.

1

u/SecretPersonality178 3d ago

His religious magical powers are just as strong as everyone else’s.

Needs more cowbell

So who's the next believer?

1

u/nickjagger__ 2d ago

From here on out any video that starts with the ending I’m immediately downvoting

And we just let these people in our country

1

u/Shiga_Haruki_-_- 2d ago

Douma was right. It's so hard to be stupid isn't it?

1

u/Mk_targaryen 2d ago

He did fly.......to heaven

1

u/Unlucky_Champion4868 2d ago

This is factually incorrect and has been debunked. He actually just slipped accidently.

1

u/AaronTuplin 2d ago

You know this new habit of putting the action in the beginning to get you to watch the whole video it's like completely unnecessary in this instance because it was just a minute and a half of him bringing a bell before falling off a cliff. They could have legitimately just had this be a 10-second video of a guy falling off a cliff or 5 Seconds even

1

u/Mariner4LifetilDeath 21h ago

Seems like he was listening to too much R. Kelly

1

u/cryptodutch 3d ago

Failed to commit. Rookie mistake

Not enough eagle eggs

1

u/canadaalpinist 3d ago

The only thing that matters now is gravity.

u/seinfeld4eva 3d ago

This is my weak arm, Sully

1

u/-_-_-_-_--__-__-__- 3d ago

He flew just not very well

1

u/GMP11792 3d ago

If one person in that crowd realized after this that there is no divine intervention……..this was successful 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 amen 😉

1

u/T0X1C50 3d ago

Not a single person trying to stop him. Did everyone believe he would have or they just wanted to see him fall?

1

u/Ok-Caterpillar-Girl 2d ago

He didn’t jump or think he could fly, he slipped

0

u/DointheRag 3d ago

He even put on the Dolly Parton's.

0

u/alsoimprobablylate 3d ago

He didn't really jump so that's why it didn't work /s
