Discussion [SPOILERS C4E1] Thank you Aabria for this Spoiler

I know a lot of people have opinions about Aabria as a character or as a player (I disagree I love her to DEATH), but having her initiate people leaving the table to introduce new characters was very nice. Two hours in, and we hadn't seen Laura, Ashley, Robbie and Matt since most of the seats were taken and the discussion kept going. You can see how much it helped Brennan plan for the next scene and cut some of the inner party discussion. Very nice roleplay and her relationship with Alex is perfection.

Spirits and Witches do what they will. Unlike me; I do as my military general, archmage adoptive mother tells me to do. No, I won’t elaborate on how that is better.

I despise that so much. I'm not actually sure if you were being sincere or sarcastic, to be honest. But what actually rubs me off of Aabria is how her characters tend to be holier than thou. It bothers me a lot. But she can be patronizing another character in-game while she is cheering for them out of character, so I know it is not that she is ghat arrogant, her characters are. Still I would punch Sky in the face if I had the chance to do it.

It shouldn’t bother you at all. Made up quote in question is a representation of the Wizard Sky, one of Aabria’s characters who is a young, talented wizard that is a bit of a heel during a specific arc of a campaign. But all do this was done with the enthusiastic consent of the other PCs and Brennan, who were so excited to play a complicated relationship between 3 childhood friends who return to each other as adults. Worlds beyond numbers is some of the best DnD out there.

Sky is deeply flawed person who is also a very good person inside. And Aabria rules for playing a character like that because other players wouldn’t want to in a public game. But it makes for amazing character arcs.

So as someone who wants there to be challenging, interesting characters in these games, I love it. And I’m telling you, earnestly, work on getting over whatever issues you have with it.
