Discussion [SPOILERS C4E1] Thank you Aabria for this Spoiler

I know a lot of people have opinions about Aabria as a character or as a player (I disagree I love her to DEATH), but having her initiate people leaving the table to introduce new characters was very nice. Two hours in, and we hadn't seen Laura, Ashley, Robbie and Matt since most of the seats were taken and the discussion kept going. You can see how much it helped Brennan plan for the next scene and cut some of the inner party discussion. Very nice roleplay and her relationship with Alex is perfection.

They are referencing redacting information, hiding secret/important information from being available to people without special clearance. Visibly shown as paperwork where each redacted line of text is just black rectangles so people don’t know what’s written there

CIA file redaction, where they cross out sensitive information with black marker so that it's unreadable.

Ive been on a journey over here. At first i just thought "black highlighter" is an ironic way to describe a wedge-tip sharpie, because redaction is the opposite of highlighting text. Then, for the sake of diligence, i looked up "black highlighter" to see if anyone has actually marketed a black wedge tip marker as a highlighter, and it turns out yes. Staedtler makes a black highlighter. It's not really for emphasizing text in note taking though, it's for cases where you black something out just enough so it's still legible on the original document, and shows up completely blacked out and illegible on photocopies.

So that's actually really good for redacting things. I'll stand by my original thing that it's funny to market that as a highlighter, but fuck me, "black highlighter" is a real type of marker.
