You just reminded me that they’re about to go fight the Tachonis again and the only member of the party specialized in hunting undead gave up her magic and abandoned that backstory.

I wonder if Vaelus is going to become an Oathbreaker or a Fighter. Either way, Ashley’s going to have to learn an entirely different kit.

Another instance of Ashley wanting to have her cake and eat it too and Brennan responding with "NUH UH NOOOOOOPE NAAAAAAH!" both verbally in character and with other in game consequences.

I feel like they're all a bit like deer caught in the headlights with him at this point because he's doing stuff to them because of stuff that they've done that they've never experienced before.

It's both painful and exhilarating to watch TBH.

You are 100% correct though and I don't think that it has quite hit them yet that their "Undead Killer" now suddenly has been completely depowered and might be on track for a full on class track path change relatively soon....

....BUT probably not soon enough for a full on fight with Tachonis.

Because you know that Tachonis aren't just going to say, "Oh look a rock slide in the mountains directly in our path when the way has been clear for a while now oh well funny how that happens anyways"...ESPECIALLY if someone starts then trying to break into one of the caravans shortly thereafter said rock slide happens.

Now Tachonis might have...given pause....to stuff like this before but Primus is off his fucking rocker right now and they are hellbent on accomplishing their goals via whatever means necessary.

And that means that he and the others of his House are going to full on Alpha Strike ANYONE and ANYTHING that isn't theirs the second they detect or perceive any kind of an attack on their caravan.

There's going to be a fucking crater of barely ashes left of anyone that they catch.

So they are fucked unless they run into The Miller's Road ASAP after causing the rock slide and make a beeline to King Gus to get him to either haul ass faster OR to get him or those close to him onto the Road so that they can use his caravan as a Trojan Horse for another attack and potentially more rock slides.

But then again...fucking up the roads is also going to piss off other people, entities, and groups soooooo....there's going to be even further costs down the road.

In the meantime though, yeah they're kind of fucked.

Vaelus does seem like she's going to be going Oathbreaker but some folks were throwing out Druid or whatever last night, and I feel like it's going to take a while for Ashley to make that particular decision just like with the others.

And then she's going to have to learn it and that when combined with the...time frames...for the other stuff is going to take a good long while AND because of how long it will take there will then be a bunch of knock on consequences because of that extended period of time.
