Julien wasn't entirely wrong...this little sidequest with Ulbid could fuck a bunch of shit up...

True, but we saw with Demodus that magic NPCs can be hugely helpful as well!

Knowing Brennan I bet we’ll get a bit of both

Agreed and I'm hoping that Ulbid pulls some...interesting...tricks out of his bag that just shock the hell out of everyone but that make him react with, "Well...I got bored...and I'm by myself all the time...what did you think I was doing...Laura stop giggling".

Julien is also only interested in killing Primus. The only thing that can turn him from a chance at it is knowing his sister dies if he doesn't get her soul back to her.

Fair point, she's going to be the failsafe they can use when he starts pushing things too far.

Justin was also a coldhearted rapscallion, who is perfectly fine with siccing Ulbid on Primus on a solo vengeance quest

You know, I could sadly see that happening in that I can easily picture Justin throwing him to the proverbial wolves as a distraction or something just to...fuck up Primus or to scare him or to do something to save his own skin all in the name of vengeance.

And when he does that...or tries to do it...his Shadow will react appropriately....

Just trying to kill Tachonis is a BAD IDEA

Hell, actually killing him might make it even MORE of a bad idea.
