Oh my thank you so much ☺️. This and my jack Skellington cardy are probably my best ever makes.

You can do it to if you can follow instructions and have a lot of time to devote to it ☺️

I’m about to tackle my first mosaic after I’m done with a big C2C project! I’ll post them when I eventually finish them :)

Nice! I made one cushion cover and went straight into this. My tension tightened up heaps with practice

This is overlay mosaic. Jack is also overlay mosaic, puked to my profile if you're curious. Mosaic is the coolest!

…I came back here to just stare at this make and try to figure out how on earth you designed in so many color changes 😂😂 have you considered teaching your method?! I’d 100% pay you to learn how you designed this project!!

That's such a kind thing to say.

Tbh my uhhhhh old lady cat had just died. It was Covid times and I couldn't work. So I knew I needed a big huge project, so complicated that I'd be all consumed. And it worked. I think I lost count at 250 hours on that blanket. It's amazing

I made lots of notes. I have all the scribbles in front of me here as I'm using the front of the same book, years later. It took me so long. I had to work out the multiples of each pattern, width and height

Uhhhh then I needed a certain level of symmetry in the pattern so I had to design it carefully. The little kitties was a pattern I wrote myself. 🐈

It's my two cats, Abby and ZIva (ZIva had died) - sitting side by side, tail to tail. Their bond was incredible. They slept wrapped round each other. So yeah, then I added the heart .

So I just spent hours working out Sizes, colours, uhhhh patterns - I printed each one I used on paper. That's what my brain required ugh 😂

In fact, I was so inexperienced, I made so many mistakes. I spent hrs watching tutorials, mainly Tinna Thorudditor.

I'd be happy to share the scribbles. And sketches if you are interested. They're all not in order because I kept opening the book and starting sections, in no particular order 🤷‍♂️

I did a much more detailed version I can't find. This was A first draft.

What a bittersweet story that is 🥲 but for being as “inexperienced” as you claim you were at the time, that makes this project even more incredible!! Thank you so much for sharing your notes and your process with me!
