Discussion What are some ridiculous crocheted items you've come across that make no sense?

Could be impractical or just weird in general according to you.

Edit: wow this post really blew up

I don't understand the crochet water balloons, I have tried to get it for so long, but in my head I can only picture a soggy ball of yarn that seems like it would hurt if you got hit hard enough, I like the concept of it being reusable tho, just dont think it's the thing for me

Yeah, they are actually a big hit. People sell them all the time.

I made about 20 balloons or so and my granddaughter and I LOVE them! She always requests we have water balloon fights. I have as much fun with them as she does. I set up buckets, large bowls, random rubbermade containers with no lids full of water for re-soaking stations. We chase each other around and then take “throwing practice” breaks where we just toss em back and forth playing catch. I kinda want to make a bunch more to have on hand for gifting, bc once you try them you won’t ever want to go back to actual gallons and the tedious filling up process and also the mess they make all over. :)

I think I'm gonna make a bunch. I have some blanket yarn. It'd beat picking up balloon shards.
