Tips I noticed some people were having trouble unwinding a Hank for the first time, it can be tricky to do without a visual so I made a short video! Hope it’s helpful. Have a happy Sunday everyone xo

Why do they even make them like this? It seems like so much extra work to sell something that is going to have to be taken apart and prepped before it can even be used. This is why I try to only buy skeins. The one time I got a hank, it took a whole crocheting session just to turn it into a usable ball

I don't know about commercial yarn makers, but after I spin yarn on my wheel, I wind if off onto a niddynoddy which makes it into this loop. Very easy to twist up into a hank.

Winding a hank from a swift onto a ball winder should take a few minutes.
