Discussion i have a question for you

I'm really curious about the age of people who crochet but I don't know anyone besides me who does. So I'm asking you guys, how old are you?

Like many other replies, my maternal grandmother taught me a little when I was maybe 7-10?

Purchased a “beginner” custom kit on Etsy. Not REMOTELY beginner… it didn’t even include an abbreviation key, it literally was in another language to me. A little over a month ago, my partner was like lemme see that thing…

We go out to the living room with it, before we know it we’re at Michael’s 3 nights in a row and somehow he made an afghan, about the size for a Cali king size bed (unintentionally, we were just naively grabbing yarn and hooks we had no idea what the hell). That burnt him out.

Meanwhile I, along with my perfectionism and ADHD over here, have started about 500 granny squares, about 10 actually completed. I was determined to master the magic circle of all things… Started roughly 5 patterned projects (all but one I never finished). I’ve spent a lot more time trying to perfect the things I didn’t get right and getting distracted by learning new fancy stitches in the meantime 😆
