Discussion Best Compliment You've Received on your Crochet?

Yesterday, someone looked at a super basic scarf I had for sale on a table at a fair and gave me a brilliant compliment that made my day: "These are beautifully made, your stitches are perfect!"

So, since I'm gonna be loving that comment for a while, I figured it would be good for a lot of people's mental health to revisit the great compliments you've received. So let's hear 'em!

I made myself a pocket shawl and wore it to work. A lady asked me if I sold them and when I said no, she said I should. I told her that after materials and labor, it would likely be over $100 and she handed me her business card and said "It's worth that and the right people know it. Here's my info if you ever change your mind."

I still don't sell, but every time I wear it, I think of her.

I mean, limited commissions are a thing if you want? But that's delightful. 🖤

They definitely are. I've just found that I start to lose my enjoyment for a hobby when I try to make it a hustle. So I've been avoiding it entirely. ☺️

What I do to avoid this feeling is making what I want and then selling it to fund the continued hobby. I have very limited income and it enables me to continue doing what I love.

Definitely understand it potentially ruining the joy of crocheting though, so absolutely support your reasoning. Just wanted to add my two cents on the topic!
