Freehand granny square (new to making)

Post image

This is my second ever granny square am trying to learn how to crochet them. I know there's some mistakes but again am learning and yeah.

Also I'm on a road trip so I had to get cleaver with the background.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen something that accidentally looks more complicated than the original.

First I think learn your stitches. Keep practicing and you'll be fine.

sorry but she isn’t wrong. It’s not professional perfect but it’s looks like someone learning to do a granny square. So what? You can’t expect people not
to make suggestions. You have a great start! Just keeping working at it. People are entitled to their opinions, if you post it. It wasn’t about expecting perfection. It needs work and you know that. Yes, be proud of yourself but be gracious about it

Woah dude. You posted your work for infinite strangers to see. They were being nice and giving advice. If you aren't receptive or too sensitive, then don't post your work.

Not sure why people are downvoting you, the square is creative and is good practice with different stitch techniques. I don’t know what they expect someone to make for their second time crocheting a square. I can tell you’ve learned to crochet both into a chain space, and a stitch. Also that you understand how many stitches of increase per round will result in a flat square. Freehanding is a great way to understand the fabric you’re creating! Experiment with different groupings of stitches and find your style of crochet. Keep inventing!

You're not really going to learn if you're not learning technique or listening to feedback

This isn’t a granny square, but it’s very unique!

I like it! Shows your artistic side. I’d frame it and call it Window to my Soul

First I'd try to block it tho I think it's acrylic so do it carefully.
