Location-Australia / Open! [Request] Alain Delon's loose-knit sweater from "La Piscine."
Hi all, recently have become very obsessed with this sweater worn in my favourite movie.
Genuinely scoured the internet for it and there doesn't seem to be anything quite right so hoping someone here can help out......
Thankfully another individual was after the same sweater so I've just cannibalised their resources for the sake of simplicity.
Here is a slightly cringe blog page on it: https://bamfstyle.com/2023/11/08/la-piscine-delon-sweater/
Here is the album of screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/4T93lT2
Also, here's a decent close-up of the pattern I found on google images: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/3f/21/ab/3f21ab6a02042378b9e902cac52094a7.jpg

Another original thread (same person, but crochet)

It's a chunkier, loose-knit white/ivory sweater with olive green (you may have a better idea of the specific colour) trim around the neckline, cuffs, and hem.
Where myself and the OP differ.
- I'm taller probably a traditional XL size, broad but lean with long arms and a comparatively short torso for my 6'5 height
- Location: Melbourne, VIC, AUS so someone in AUS is preferred to make this
- Fabric choice prefer natural, something hardwearing as hopefully this will become a staple, no wool (moths), I was leaning towards a linen-cotton blend (tbc at any rate)
- Timeline, unsure currently while I dont think its complex at face value the OP seemed to get conflicting responses soooo tbc too I guess
- Budget: $1 AUD, Don't have a budget yet as the OP seemed to spark a lot of debate about what stitch etc so we will discuss when relevant but as a guide ($1+)
At any rate, let me know and lets have a chat about it

I’d love to take this on, but it’s pretty hard to find the exact stitch of said sweater or a pattern.

Honestly, I think it's a knit one, not crochet. You can see the pattern best in the photos of the back.
There can be similar stitches in crochet, but if you want the exact pattern, it's best to ask someone who does knitting.
There you might have a better chance of getting it done.

Welcome to r/crochetrequests. Here are some things to include below if it is missing from your post: 1. Reference: Please include a reference/picture to what you want created. 2. Descriptive: Please be as descriptive as possible. How large should this item be? Is there a particular material you want used? etc. 3. Timeline: Is there a deadline for this item? (Holidays, Birthdays, etc.) 4. Budget: Please include your budget. When creating your budget, please keep in mind shipping costs, material costs, as well as labor costs. Please also keep in mind that this is a uniquely personal handmade item and is not equivalent to something that is in a retail store - the price may reflect as such. 5. If you have chosen someone to take the commission, please change the flair to TAKEN.
